Ascension Calumet Hospital Answering God's call to bring health, healing and hope to all.

03/16/2026

Due to the National Weather Service’s Blizzard Warning, heavy snow and dangerous travel conditions, Ascension Wisconsin is adjusting operations in the Fox Valley on March 16 to help keep patients and associates safe.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are delaying the opening of our Ascension urgent care centers and Ascension Medical Group’s physician offices in the Fox Valley until noon on Monday. We will reevaluate Monday morning as conditions evolve.

Patients with scheduled onsite physician office appointments that are affected will be contacted directly to reschedule at the earliest available opportunity. Patients with virtual appointments on Monday will remain as scheduled.

Our hospital and emergency department at Ascension Calumet will remain open and prepared to care for anyone in need of urgent or emergent services. We continue to monitor weather conditions closely and are coordinating with local emergency officials to ensure safe and reliable access to essential care.

We appreciate the community’s understanding as we take these steps to support the safety of our patients and caregivers.

This is your sign to answer the call. 💛

If you’ve been living with painful periods, pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, or symptoms that just don’t feel “normal,” don’t ignore them. During Endometriosis Awareness Month, we’re reminding you: your health is worth the appointment.

Make the call. Book the visit. Ask the questions.

You deserve to be heard, believed, and cared for.

A heartfelt thank you to the Calumet Auxiliary for their generous support of our hospital.

Through this year’s Wish List initiative, departments submitted items that would enhance patient care but are not included in the annual budget. We are grateful that funding was approved for Temporal Thermometer Scanners in all eight Emergency Department exam rooms, providing a fast, non-invasive option that improves comfort and efficiency for many patients.

Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab also received funding for a NuStep T4r Recumbent Cross Trainer. With many patients unable to safely use a treadmill, this additional equipment will increase access to therapy and improve scheduling flexibility.

We are deeply appreciative of the Auxiliary’s continued partnership and the meaningful impact their generosity has on patient care in our community.
