Show up every day.

Showing up is not glamorous; it is not always comfortable. It is simultaneously the most difficult and the easiest thing you will ever do.

It takes being present in every moment. There is no once-and-never-again solution. Showing up is a choice you get to make. Every. Single. Moment. Every. Single. Time.

The moment you don't choose, the moment you think or believe something else will choose for you - or even that something else will choose for you - you are no longer showing up.

Even if you have made the choice to show up 1000 times, you still get to choose if you want to show up this time. This is why it takes being present in every moment, and why nothing else can do it for you. Only you have this power. It is the ultimate gift, the ultimate freedom to choose whether to show up today, or whether to not.

This means the status quo "get 8 hours of sleep and you'll be good" does not make sense because waking up after 8 hours has a high probability of waking up in the middle of a sleep cycle.

Check out this article on sleep inertia, it's a real thing. Being interrupted in the middle of a cycle is the worst thing for restful sleep [https://sleepcycle.com/sleep-talk/sleep-disorders-what-is-sleep-inertia].

Scrap the 8-hour propaganda. TRUST INTUITION. YOU deserve REST. The best rest you get is by completing a whole sleep cycle (this means 2 cycles of sleep is better than 2.5 cycles, even though 2.5 cycles is overall more time). Be aware of sleep cycle lengths and try to complete at least 3 cycles each sleeping period. It is more important to complete a sleep cycle than to sleep for a specific amount of time.

Let your body do the work and rest assured it knows what it's doing. Give yourself a chance and don't interrupt your cycles.

Let it be; sleep restfully.

Pranayama is your lifeforce energy, and it can be interacted with through breath.

There are several breath techniques designed to harness lifeforce energy, such as:
(1) Alternated nostril breathing;
(2) Bumblebee breath; and
(3) Box breathing

Biologically, proper breathwork improves cardio performance and regulates your nervous system (either activating or relaxing, depending on what your intention is).
