I personally visit every patient the night of surgery to ease anxiety, answer questions, and ensure a safe, smooth recovery. Being present that first night helps prevent complications and reassures both patients and their families.
I provide my patients with:
π§Έ A stuffed bear to gently support the abdomen by holding it firmly, pressing in, and coughing for added comfort and protection
π« An incentive spirometer to encourage deep breathing, keep the lungs clear, and support a smooth recovery
βΌοΈ Why Breathing Is So Important After Surgery:
Many surgeons recommend hyperbaric oxygen to support healing, but natural oxygenation is just as essential. After anesthesia, small areas of the lungs can temporarily collapse (atelectasis), especially after tummy tuck surgery when patients tend to hold their breath. Deep breathing and gentle coughing help reopen the lungs and support proper oxygenation. Our method makes coughing and breathing safer, more comfortable, and protects your results!
