1 year ago today I married this man right here 🤍

Life would be so dull without you, my Chulo. You make every day brighter, funnier, and fuller in all the best ways.

For those who don’t know, Robert and I chose Las Vegas for our wedding in honor of his grandparents — it was one of their absolute favorite places. His grandparents were so special to him and his family, and when his grandma passed unexpectedly a few years ago, we wished she could’ve been there with us. So we thought, what better way to feel her presence than to celebrate our love in a place she loved so much?

And we truly felt her spirit with us that day. 🕊️✨

Our first dance was to Samba Pa Ti— and every time we hear it, it takes us right back to that moment. 🩷

Happy aniversario, my love — one year down, forever to go 💍❤️

✨ Here’s a little sighting of some of the IE midwives gathering for peer support, in our natural habitat 🫶🏽

This is what keeps us going! Our work is not easy when done alone, and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing women who are walking this path alongside me. 💜

And of course, we improvised with whatever we had on hand 😅 — because if you gather a group of midwives to talk birth, you better believe we want visuals so we can see what was happening! Lol. As soon as Joselle started sharing, she grabbed the nearest props: a mini baby and pelvis. Hehe ✨

For those who may not know: peer review is actually a required part of our licensing guidelines. Everything we discuss is always HIPAA compliant, and these gatherings are such an important way we continue sharpening our skills, learning from each other, and ensuring families get the very best care. 🌿
