At the end of the day, desire is not always from something we wish to possess, but rather a pain that will only seemingly be alleviated by the possession.
You've wanted that new outfit.
You’ve wanted that new car.
You’ve wanted that new life.
And once you got it, and the illumination of novelty faded away, did you really feel any different?
Was it really about wanting your desires, or was it more about wanting to remove desire and not knowing how to, other than by quenching its thirst?
To get what you want can be incredibly simple if you know how to use the mind in the right way. And yet, that still leaves the question:
Is this really what you want?
Whose thoughts are you thinking?
Where did they come from?
Are they serving you?
