Our popular ONLINE 5-Day Introduction to Emergency Nursing class has been scheduled to commence in June.

This program includes curriculum outlined within the optional textbook, Sheehy’s Manual of Emergency Care Nurses 7th ed.
This course is designed to help the RN/LVN who would like to work in the Emergency Department with the theory and skills necessary to function safely.
This course will also provide a good review for those people already working in the Emergency Department. Topics included in this course include respiratory, cardiac, behavioral health emergencies, shock emergencies, trauma, and other system emergencies.

On Wednesday 22nd April, 8:00am - 5:00 pm (PST) we have our ONLINE S.T.A.B.L.E. class and luckily enough for you there is some availability to enroll.

Course Description: -
S.T.A.B.L.E. targets the post-resuscitation care of ill neonates and is therefore considered by many experts to be the follow-up, complementary program to the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). S.T.A.B.L.E. serves as a concise educational tool to organize the myriads of details necessary to stabilize and care for sick infants. S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Labwork, and Emotional support-all necessary components of stabilizing ill infants.

The 7th edition learner course is comprised of 2 sections. Part 1 is S.T.A.B.L.E. Foundations online course, Part 2 is attending the instructor led course.

Students must complete the online course called S.T.A.B.L.E. Foundations and email the course certificate to Flex Ed at Lety@flexed.com in order to register for the instructor led course. The online module can be found on Nursegrid- https://nursegrid.com/ . Make sure you take the foundations course. It is $54.00 dollars.

Students must have a copy of The S.T.A.B.L.E program textbook, 7th edition and show it when they take the instructor led portion of the course.

Students must also have a we**am and must remain visible for class duration.

Students are required to email their completed posttest answer sheet to Flex Ed in order to get credit and have their card issued. Email completed answer sheet to confirmations@flexed.com and then call (909) 464-2299 ext. 1010 to register for Part 2, the instructor led course.

Students who complete the S.T.A.B.L.E. Learner Course are awarded a course completion card.

Our popular ONLINE Baby Friendly Breastfeeding Basics Skills-Part is coming up soon.

Course Details: -
This is a two-part course. The first portion is a 5-hour online Self-Study module that must be completed prior to attending the 4-hour instructor led skills session. The Self-Study module can be done up to 90 days before the instructor led class and must be done at least 24 hours before the class begins.

This course provides the evidence, knowledge and skills participants need to confidently support, establish and protect early mother-infant attachment and breastfeeding in the hospital setting. It will highlight the personal tools necessary to enhance early parent-infant attachment and help families to listen to and understand the language or the newborn.

This material was adapted from the BBLA curriculum and updated to meet the current Baby Friendly, USA guidelines. This course meets competency requirements for 1A (1-5), 2 (11-14), 3 (29), 4 (18-27), 5 (28, 30-34,40,43-44,57 & 65), 6 (29,41,42,47,48,49,666,50,51,52, &67), 7 (35,68,69,36, & 45) 8 (37,38,39,46, & 58) 9 (53.54,55,56,59, & 70), 10 (57, 60,61,62,63, & 64)
Elements not covered should be covered within each facility as they pertain to hospital practice, or pre-birth education.

***ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Each class participant should have a baby doll during the skills session.

Flex Ed will be hosting an in-person Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate) AWHONN 8th Edition class located at our head office - 3340 Riverside Drive, Suite H, Chino, CA 91710.

This class is scheduled on Friday 10th April, 9:00am - 5:00pm (PST)

Class Description & Information
This 1-day instructor-led course provides 11.5 nursing contact hours or 11.5 CME credit. AWHONN holds a California BRN number, Provider CEP580.

To take this course, the learner must first obtain the student materials, AWHONN course ID number and Instructor ID number and then sign in to the AWHONN Online Course Process Center https://ce.awhonn.pesgce.com/ to complete pre-requisite course and test with a score of 80% or better.
This must be completed within 30 days of the class, but no later than 1 day prior to the class. 24 hours before the class, participants will be locked out and unable to complete pre-course work and attend the instructor lead class. Skills taught and knowledge assessed include maternal and fetal physiology, interpretation of fetal and uterine monitor tracings, Leopold’s Maneuvers, placement of fetal spiral electrodes and intrauterine pressure catheters.
This course assumes that the learner has completed entry-level fetal monitoring education and is designed for clinicians who utilize fetal heart monitoring in the intrapartum setting. To obtain CEs, participants must attend the entire course and complete an online feedback form through AWHONN.
The education hours are awarded directly through AWHONN - The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

This course will provide an obstetrical review for dealing with a precipitous delivery for the emergency room nurse. Obstetrical assessment, complications and risks will be discussed.

Dysrhythmia Interp. & Therapeutic Modalities
This class is designed for the (RN/LVN) member of the medical team who may be responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms and identifying rhythm disturbances. The course will cover rhythm disturbances, therapeutic interventions and management of dysrhythmias.
The program requires homework and study. 24 contact hours will be awarded after attendance of all course meetings and successful completion of a final exam.
The Introduction to Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmias, 5th Edition, textbook will be utilized during this course. An RCAT Tool (used for measuring ECG intervals) is also required during the class and for outside homework.

Conflict Resolution
This course will provide some great insight into conflict resolution and the science behind how the brain works when conflict arises. Kwame Christian’s Ted Talk Video on finding confidence in conflict will be viewed and discussed. The course will also cover how to use compassion in conflict resolution, how to use mindfulness to aide in conflict resolution and how to consider Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in the process of conflict resolution.

Flex Ed Has Opened Their December TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Class, 9th Edition, Online Via Zoom.

Day 1: Monday 15th December - 7:30am - 5:00pm PST
Day 2: Tuesday 16th December - 7:30am - 2:00pm PST

TNCC is an Advanced Course for RN's Only.

The Emergency Nurses Association Provider number for the California Board of Registered Nursing is Provider #2322
The Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) requires a non-refundable, non-transferable prepayment when registering for the course. The non-refundable amount includes the book and materials. Registration for this course can only be completed by contacting the Flex Ed office at (702) 507-1120 (for CA and NV classes).

TNCC is an extensive course that prepares registered nurses with knowledge, critical thinking skills, and hands-on training to provide expert care for trauma patients. The course includes rapid identification of life-threatening injuries, comprehensive patient assessment, and enhanced interventions for better patient outcomes.

Mandatory pre-course online modules are required to be completed prior to the first day of the course or the participant will not be able to attend. Pre-course online modules and instructions will be provided after registration for the course. Upon successful completion of the course, 19.50 Continuing Education contact hours will be awarded through ENA. Recommended renewal is every four years.
