Carbs...spoiler alert they are not all evil! When it comes to carbohydrates they are not all created equal. Focus on the foods that have a low glycemic index. Meaning, the foods will not cause a huge increase in blood sugar and will help you to stabilize your blood sugar throughout the day.
When consuming foods with a high glycemic index it is important to also add in a high quality source of protein and fats to help soften the effects of these foods have on your blood sugar.
This is especially important for individuals that have diabetes, pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, hypertension, and heart disease.
