Thank you to Leanne Flynn for coming to teach a “Hot Mess Canvas Art” Class to our residents! They had a blast!
For those of you who haven’t heard of “Hot Mess Canvas Art”, here’s what we did:
1.) Each Resident chose their favorite design for their canvas art (Then our instructor printed each of their designs onto a vinyl decal)
2.) Then they painted their canvases with the colors that they wanted their chosen design to show up as. (This step is where the “hot mess” name comes from, because you can get creative with your colors, and it doesn’t have to be perfect- each piece turns out uniquely beautiful 😍)
3.) After that paint dried, the vinyl decal was transferred to the canvas
4.) Then the residents chose what color they would like the background of their canvas to be, and painted over the entire canvas with that color
5.) Then after that layer dried, they removed the vinyl decal, to reveal their beautiful designs! They turned out great! ♥️
