As a MANOR of fact, we'd love to hear more about you! 🫡

Meet David Steinmetz, originally from Bloomer, WI. Mr. Steinmetz has made 80 trips around the sun. David was married to his wife, Margie for 57 years before she passed away. Together they share two children.

During his career, David was in the Navy for 4 years, Armor Meal for 12 years, AMPI for 18 years, and spent 10 years at AFP + Land 0' Lakes. WOW!! What an amazing career! Thank you for your service, sir. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Once retiring, you could find David working at AFP part time. He also enjoyed fishing, cutting firewood, wood working, gardening, and maintaining upkeep on anything that needed it. David especially loves spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

If David could interview anyone living or passed on, he would interview his father, as passed away early.

David's advice to future generations is to put money away for the future because you are going to need it.

Since moving into the Chippewa Manor, David has a list of favorite things such as, not having to pay taxes or insurance on his home that he sold, all utilities and rent are one monthly payment, no snow blowing or grass cutting to do. He also enjoys the music, BINGO, breakfast for the veterans, and I quote, "lots of BS-ers!" 😁

A special thank you to David for sharing a piece of his life story. We appreciate you, sir!

"As a MANOR of fact, we'd love to hear more about you!" 🫡

Meet Mary Flater. Mary is 86 years young. Mary grew up in Cornell, WI, and spent most of her adult life in Holcombe, WI.

Mary was married to Ray Flater for 32 years until he passed away. Mary and Ray shared 2 children together. Marjorie is their daughter, and Darin is their son.

You could find Mary working at Holcombe Public School as a cook. Once retiring, she moved to Hayward, WI to be with her brother. Later, she moved back to Holcombe to be with her children.

If Mary could extend any advice to future generations, she would say, "be kind to everyone."

Mary has lived at the Chippewa Manor for 10 months and her favorite thing is her new friends.

If Mary could interview anyone living or passed on, she would interview her brother, Rod because she misses him so bad since he's passed away.

Mary wants everyone to know what a wonderful, caring family she has. Her family may be small, but it is MIGHTY! Aside from her two children, Marjorie and Darin, Mary has some wonderful grandchildren. Granddaughter, Beth, granddaughter in-law, Miki, and grandson, Dexter help make up Mary's small, but MIGHTY family.

A special thanks, to Mary for sharing part of her story!

Meet Jerry and Jan Snider. Today, this amazing couple has been married 58 years! πŸ₯‚πŸΎ They are originally from Durand, WI. Jerry and Jan share 2 children together, Jon and Jackie and the "J's" don't stop there! They had a dog named Joker and a Guinea pig, Jiffy. JUST JOYOUS!
