We welcomed a very special quilt group, the Sew-n-Sews!

Two of our residents, who are part of this group, had the heartfelt idea to update our campus dignity quilt with a fresh new one. After completing the quilt, they brought it today to dedicate to Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights.

This quilt will be used during our long-standing tradition known as the Dignity Walk—a way to honor residents as they leave our building upon passing. It provides a meaningful and dignified goodbye, allowing fellow residents and team members to pay their respects.

We are deeply grateful to the Sew-n-Sews for creating such a beautiful quilt and helping us continue this tradition of care, respect, and community.

Veterans Day was a special occasion as we celebrated more than 20 veterans living here at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights. Forest Lake American Legion Post 225 proudly presented the colors, and we enjoyed cake, coffee, and fellowship!

Halloween this year was a wild mash-up of the prehistoric and the deep sea in one unforgettable underwater extravaganza! Dinosaurs took center stage, belting out spooky tunes with some impressive vocal range.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any crazier, a mischievous chipmunk stole the show! From there, underwater sea creatures filled the room with bubbles, music, and laughter — until JAWS made a surprise appearance and took care of the swimmer!

It was a day full of smiles, laughs, great food, and wonderful friends. Thanks for making it such a memorable celebration — see you next year!

Fall fun is in full swing at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights!

Our residents spent the afternoon getting creative with the help of three wonderful community volunteers who brought all the supplies — and, of course, the pumpkins! Everyone had such a great time decorating them to display by our doors.

The Good Neighbor Club of Chisago Lakes, along with several of our residents, hosted a delightful Halloween Witches Tea!

It was such a fun and festive event—complete with fancy tea cakes and treats, a variety of delicious teas, and beautiful teacups. Everyone brought their favorite teacup and shared a short story about where it came from.

It was a wonderful way to kick off the fall season, and we were thrilled with the great turnout. We truly have an amazing group of residents here at Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights!

One small act of kindness can truly make someone’s day. Today, Cliff noticed that Shirley had a new power scooter and thoughtfully gave her a cup holder for it — a simple but very convenient addition to her new ride. Shirley was delighted to receive such a useful accessory and was all smiles before lunch!

Oktoberfest was a blast!

We welcomed 80 guests for a festive afternoon filled with live music, beer, apple cider, schnitzel, and spaetzle! The celebration was full of laughter, lively toasts, a stein-holding contest, some impressive yodeling, and a cheerful sing-along to end the day.

A huge thank you to our incredible Dietary Team for preparing a delicious lunch and putting so much effort into this exceptional meal.

Raise a stein and give a cheer — for bratwurst, friends, and midday beer!
