Drug allergies are a fairly common issue. Through compounded medications, patients can receive treatment without the risk of allergic reactions. Some common drug allergies include antibiotics, aspirin, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as chemotherapy, anticonvulsants, and monoclonal antibody therapies that can be used to treat conditions such as asthma and eczema. If you have a drug allergy, speak with your pharmacist when filling or refilling a prescription.
