Monarch Continuing Education is a leading provider of high-quality courses that are specialized in lymphatic care, manual lymph drainage (MLD), lymphedema therapy and compression bandaging techniques (CDP). We also include offerings of complementary topics taught by other qualified professionals. Our opportunities are directed for allied healthcare professionals to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and receive training in lymphedema treatment, including basic certification, compression bandaging, and advanced topics. Allied healthcare professionals include Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupation Therapists, Licensed Massage Therapists, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses.

LE&RN extends deep gratitude to Dr. Gary Gibbons as he retires from federal service and his current position as director of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

For too long, lymphatic diseases have struggled for recognition and research investment. Dr. Gibbons helped to change that. He listened, engaged with our community, and helped ensure lymphatic diseases had a place in national research conversations. Most notably, his leadership helped make possible the first-ever national commission on lymphatic diseases — a historic step that will shape progress in this field for years to come.

We are grateful for Dr. Gibbons' partnership and vision, and we remain committed to carrying the momentum forward. Read NHLBI’s announcement:

Amazing progress since I started in this field 20 years ago.

Weill Cornell Medicine has received a $5.2 million, initial two-year award from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Lymphatic Imaging, Genomics, and pHenotyping Technologies (LIGHT) program to develop a comprehensive and innovative approach to diagnosing lymphatic disease.
