Therapy Thursday Thoughts

Imaging works best when combined with symptom history, movement testing, and functional goals rather than relied on in isolation. A physical therapist can help guide you.

When I began, I couldn’t sleep. Pain in my shoulder was the problem. It would hurt for 1 to 2 hours. No more sleep that night.
Now I sleep 7 hours. Pain is zero to maybe a one, but stops instantly. And highest is a 1, if at all.
The clinic is very professional. Very helpful. The shoulder problem was explained to me and why each exercise helped reach our goal. Personnel was a 10 for care. Very helpful.-Vic

Why It Works Wednesday

Your physical therapist looks at how the spine, muscles, and movement patterns may be linked to ongoing back pain. This helps guide care based on symptoms rather than guesswork.
✅ Tip: Knowing what triggers pain can help guide better treatment decisions.

When I started PT, my knee was giving out and in pain. I was worried about doing my job the best I could, and didn’t want to be a grandma that couldn’t play with her grandkids. The therapists at High Desert Physical Therapy were awesome, and made therapy not feel like work. Today I feel much more secure on my feet, and feel like I’m back to my old self and can be a fun grandma. -Andrea
