Postpartum isn’t about bouncing back.
Physical healing after birth is inseparable from the nervous system.
How quickly the body can repair tissue, release tension, and restore function depends largely on whether the nervous system feels safe enough to shift out of protection.
And postpartum does not exactly make safety easy.
Sleep disruption, constant demand, identity shifts, pain, and emotional load all ask the nervous system to stay alert even while the body is trying to heal.
When healing feels slow or incomplete, it is not a personal failure.
It is often a sign that the system is still prioritizing protection over repair.
This is why postpartum care cannot focus on the physical body alone.
Supporting nervous system regulation helps the body receive the signal that it is safe to heal and that healing does not need to be rushed or forced 🙌🏽
At Clear Chiropractic, we support postpartum healing by working with the nervous system first so your body can do what it already knows how to do in its own time.
