Umbilical Cords
Did you know that the length of an umbilical cord can actually tell you a lot about someone’s approach to life?
Every time I witness a placenta and cord, I’m in awe — not just of the biology, but the story it seems to hold. 🌿
The shortest cord I’ve ever seen was just 11 inches long… and the longest around 3 feet! 🤯
Each one felt like a clue to the soul it was connected to… the way the baby once they grow how they might move through the world, their instincts, their independence, their resilience.
Some cords are wound tightly, some are free-flowing. Some have knots or twists…. all of it, in my experience, seems to mirror the energy and path of the person it nourished.
Birth never stops teaching me. 💫
The body holds so much wisdom — even in the details we don’t often talk about.

Cordones umbilicales
¿Sabías que lo largo de un cordón umbilical puede decir mucho sobre la forma en que una persona ve la vida?
Cada vez que veo una placenta y un cordón, me maravillo, no solo por su biología, sino por la historia que parece albergar. 🌿
El cordón más corto que he visto medía solo 28 centímetros… ¡y el más largo, alrededor de 90 centímetros! 🤯
Cada uno me parecía una pista del alma con la que estaba conectado..la forma en que el bebé, una vez que crece, se desenvuelve en el mundo, sus instintos, su independencia, su resiliencia.
Algunos cordones están firmemente enrollados, otros fluyen libremente. Algunos tienen nudos o torceduras… todo, en mi experiencia, parece reflejar la energía y el camino de la persona que nutrió.
El nacimiento nunca deja de enseñarme. 💫
El cuerpo encierra muchísima sabiduría, incluso en los detalles de los que no solemos hablar.
