Celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year 2026
We had a fantastic time, welcoming the Chinese lunar new year with an unforgettable celebration at Fredericka Manor. Our residents were treated to mesmerizing performances by talented lion dancers and a captivating Chinese drummer, bringing energy and cultural richness to our community. It was all smiles and joy for everyone. Here’s to a year filled with health, happiness, and prosperity!

Super Bowl Sunday fun at Fredericka Manor!
What a fantastic day we had watching the Super Bowl! Our residents enjoyed delicious hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos and cheese along with refreshing beverages.  The highlight was definitely the halftime show residents got up to dance and celebrate together!

“Bach Midday Concert”
Today, our residents enjoyed an enriching experience at the Bach@Noon classical concert in Point Loma. The atmosphere was filled with beautiful melodies, of the classical string ensemble, and the highlight of the day was a delightful conversation with the talented musician Joshua Rubin, who mesmerized us with his skills on the Basset Clarinet.
Our residents were left inspired and uplifted, eager for more musical concerts in the future!

🎄✨ What a magical night! We were thrilled to join the 61st year Starlight Parade on Third Avenue Village for the first time.

Our residents had a wonderful time and were so proud to be part of the local holiday celebrations! Starlight parade dates back to the 1940s making it a decades-old holiday tradition. ⭐❤️

With 24 acres on our campus, there is always something wonderful to see in nature. This Mallard pair was spotted at Fredericka Manor’s Pond on November 9th. The more colorful duck is the male. Mallards begin forming pairs in the fall and stay together through the winter. Actual mating and egg-laying occur in the spring, starting as early as late February and continuing through May. The female builds the nest and raises the young on her own, while the male typically departs once incubation begins to molt his feathers.
