"After years of trying to grow our family, my husband and I turned to medical experts for answers.
That journey led to a stage four endometriosis diagnosis. Despite laparoscopic surgery, medicated cycles and an IUI, becoming parents still felt painfully out of reach.
Our OBGYN recommended IRH, and under the guidance of Dr. Scheiber, we began our first round of IVF.
From weekly commutes to Louisville to learning an entirely new language of medical terms and diagnoses, each step brought its own challenges — and constant reminders of how fortunate we were to be supported by an exceptional team.
Throughout the process, we had the privilege of working with nearly every doctor at IRH and were continually struck by their expertise and compassion. We are especially grateful to Dr. Burwinkel, who performed our retrieval, and Dr. Michael Awadalla, who completed our transfer.
Today, we get to look into the big blue eyes and squeeze the chubby cheeks of our one (and only) frozen embryo — our miracle, Daphne Ruth. We wouldn’t have the family we’ve always dreamed of without IRH.
