Happy Friday! It feels wonderful to share these photos of my 60-year-old patient only 1 month after her extended and deep . Not only does her jawline look crisp but her neck looks better all the way to her chest, her face is more heart-shaped from a front view, and the area around her mouth looks happier and more relaxed.

Patients understand that healing after surgery is not measured in days but in weeks and months. However, they are curious as to what they may look like relatively early in the healing process. The reality is that everyone is different. However, this is an example of a patient early on in her journey. She is already thrilled with her results. I am excited to share additional follow up photos as she heals.

Happy Friday! I was ecstatic to see this patient of mine 3 months after a revision facelift (extended ), deep , , and facial .

A few things stand out to me:

1. The crispness and youthful contour of her jawline.

2. The improvement in the entirety of her neck.

3. The naturally youthful appearance of her cheeks when a cheek lift from deep plane facelift surgery is combined with gentle, conservative fat grafting.

4. The improvement not only in the height of the red lip but also the shape of the red lip. She now has more defined Cupid’s peaks. This is on top of the fact that the procedure further shifts the focus from the bottom of the face towards the top.

5. The significant improvement in her skin from the facial fat grafting.

She could not be happier. Neither could we. I am so grateful for the privilege of taking care of her.

Happy Tuesday! I am very happy to share this beautiful before and after image of a recent (3 months ago) . I performed both subnasal lip lift and corner lip lifts to:

1. Shorten the length of the lip skin, bringing it closer to where it was in youth.

2. Raise the height of the red lip and rotate it out slightly to give a natural-appearing fullness to the upper lip.

3. Raise the edge of the upper lip at each corner to improve the appearance of what is called the oral commissure.

The lip lift procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, which is a huge plus to many of my patients.

I am thrilled to see how well she is healing!

Adding volume to the cheeks using hyaluronic acid filler can be a wonderful enhancement to the youthful contours of the face. But what can happen if too much filler is placed in the wrong locations? One possible result is the development of “pillow face.” This video explains how filler in the cheeks can create an older, more uncanny appearance to the face. This look may be a cause of filler fatigue in some individuals. The risk of “pillow face” can be minimized by:

1. Selecting an appropriately qualified and experienced injector.

2. Starting with conservative volumes.

3. Splitting treatment into multiple sessions with larger volumes are required.

4. Waiting an appropriate length of time after aesthetic goals are reached.

Happy Monday! I am thrilled to share these photos of my 62-year-old patient 3 months after her deep neck lift. This individual wanted to focus on improving hanging tissue in her neck. She was less concerned about age-related changes to her face. She is ecstatic about what we were able to achieve with a . She pointed out how good it actually feels to not notice that tissue hanging under her jawline. I was truck by the fact that we were not only able to achieve this but also significantly improve the definition of the back of her jawline with only a .

Happy Thursday! It was amazing to see this absolutely lovely 70-year-old patient of mine only 1 month after her extended and deep . We at Harmon Facial Plastic Surgery always strive to turn back the clock in a natural-appearing way, which was why it was so exciting to hear that we managed to make her neck look even better than when she was younger. Enjoy it! We are excited to watch her through the rest of her healing process.

Happy Wednesday! I was so excited to see my 71-year-old patient 3 months after her extended deep plane facelift, , temple lift, upper eyelid (blepharoplasty), and lower eyelid (blepharoplasty) pinch procedures. I had shared some closeups of her eyes previously. She had undergone a facelift and neck lift years ago and subsequently developed signs consistent with changes to the face after older approaches to surgery that are not deep plane. She is thrilled with her results. We are grateful for the opportunity to care for her!
