The conversation about AI and mental health is growing. MDRC is adding our voice, rooted in disability justice.
We're not here to shame anyone who's turned to AI for support. The barriers to mental health care are real. They fall hardest on disabled people, BIPOC communities, and anyone living at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities. We understand why people are looking for alternatives.
But we think you deserve to know what the research says. The Public Health Communications Collaborative started this conversation. We're here to bring a disability justice perspective.
