🌸 Helping women to be empowered and informed

✨ Welcome ✨

For those of you who are new here — welcome. I’m so glad you found your way to this space.

I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor and the founder of Whole Woman Naturopathic in Cincinnati. My work is rooted in helping people feel better in their bodies — especially when they’ve been told their symptoms are “normal,” “just hormones,” or something they have to live with.

My clinical focus is on fertility/preconception care, hormone balance, PCOS, endometriosis, postpartum care, and functional dermatology (including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and more). I love working at the intersection of nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, gut health, and the nervous system because that’s often where the real answers live.

I earned my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine, one of the six accredited naturopathic medical schools in the U.S., along with a certificate in naturopathic obstetrics and midwifery in Portland, OR. During my training, I completed a three-year clinical internship in a naturopathic primary care practice, with a focus on women’s health, pediatrics, and midwifery.

Before pursuing naturopathic medicine, I earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Purdue University, along with a certificate in therapeutic massage and bodywork. My background in chemistry and research, paired with a deep passion for natural medicine, allows me to approach care from both a scientific and deeply human lens.

My approach is thoughtful, investigative, and highly individualized. I spend time listening, asking questions, and helping you understand what your body is doing and why — then we build a plan together that feels realistic, sustainable, and supportive.

I also care deeply about helping patients advocate for themselves in a healthcare system that can feel rushed, fragmented, and (at times) broken. Many of my patients have been dismissed or bounced from provider to provider. Part of my job is helping you make sense of the noise, ask the right questions, and walk into appointments feeling prepared, informed, and empowered...whether you’re pursuing conventional care, integrative care, or both.

Lifelong learning is something I value deeply, and I continue to expand my education in women’s health, fertility, gastroenterology, endocrinology, autoimmunity, pediatrics, and midwifery. It’s an honor to keep growing so I can offer my patients the best possible care.

Outside the clinic, I’m a mom, a soccer-field regular, and a big believer that health care should feel human, collaborative, and empowering.

This space is where I share education, reflections, and practical tools around fertility, hormones, endometriosis/PCOS, skin, and whole-body wellness...plus a little real life along the way.

Thanks for being here.
I’m so happy you found your way to this community. 💛

As the year comes to a close, I just wanted to pause and say thank you — whether you’re a patient, a friend, someone I’ve worked with in the past, or simply part of this little community.

The holidays can hold a lot. For some, they’re full of warmth and celebration; for others, they carry exhaustion, grief, or the quiet work of just getting through. However this season is landing for you, I hope there are small moments of rest, steadiness, and connection woven through your days.

I’m deeply grateful for the trust so many of you place in this work. Supporting people through fertility, hormone health, postpartum care, and functional dermatology continues to be an honor.

Wishing you a peaceful holiday season and a gentle start to the new year. 🤍

PS — If your only goal over the next couple of weeks is to rest, breathe, and make it through… that counts.

One of the most common fertility patterns I see:

Highly capable, high-functioning women whose bodies are quietly running on empty.

Supporting hormones often starts with fuel, recovery, and safety, not doing more. 💛

Fifteen years ago, my Husband, Joe, and I packed up our life and moved to Portland, Oregon so I could pursue my dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor.
Ten years ago, we packed it all up again—this time with a kiddo in tow—and came back to the Midwest to put down roots and start my practice. I wasn’t sure where it would lead, but I knew I wanted to help women heal and feel like themselves again.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of walking with hundreds of women through fertility journeys, hormonal transitions, postpartum seasons, digestive issues, and skin struggles—and I’m still in awe of what this work allows me to witness.

I’m endlessly grateful for the women and families who’ve trusted me along the way—and for the privilege of doing this work I love every single day.

I’m excited to keep going, to keep learning, and to keep growing—deeper care, new offerings, and more support for the women in our community in the years ahead. 🌿💛

Did you know PCOS research is shifting the way we think about hormonal health—not just ovaries, but how your body handles blood sugar, builds cells, and even your genetic blueprint? That means our care can be smarter and more personalized.

Here’s what’s changing:

1) PCOS is truly whole-body.
Beyond cycles and skin, PCOS raises lifelong metabolic considerations—even in women who aren’t overweight—so screening blood sugar, lipids, and blood pressure sooner is wise. New guidance leans into this bigger picture so you’re supported head-to-toe, not just cycle-to-cycle.

2) Genetics explains why PCOS looks different in different women.
Large studies suggest distinct genetic “flavors” of PCOS (for example, lean vs. higher-BMI phenotypes show different patterns), which helps explain why the same plan doesn’t help everyone equally. Translation: it’s not your fault—and personalization matters.

3) Your gut is part of the hormone story.
Research links PCOS with shifts in the gut microbiome that can influence inflammation, insulin resistance, and androgens. Nutrition, fiber, sleep, and stress care aren’t “extras”—they’re levers that may help restore balance.

4) Care is getting more tailored.
Updated guidelines emphasize whole-person lifestyle care, mental health, and shared decision-making. Even nutrition strategies are getting sharper—for some women, a higher-protein pattern can support insulin sensitivity (alongside movement, sleep, and stress tools).

If PCOS has felt confusing or you’ve been told “everything looks fine” while your body says otherwise, there’s a reason. The science is evolving, and your care should, too.

I’ll be opening the New Patient Survey again soon. If you’d like personalized support for PCOS or fertility, keep an eye here for more info soon.

🌿 The Nourish Conference — November 1st in Fishers, Indiana! 🌿

If your nervous system has been running on empty, this one’s for you. 💛

My colleague and friend Dr. Becca will be speaking at this year’s Nourish Conference, a women’s wellness event designed to help you reconnect, recharge, and truly nourish yourself from the inside out.

✨ When your nervous system is regulated, everything shifts — your sleep, digestion, hormones, and mood all start to come back into balance. This day is all about natural, accessible ways to support your body’s design to heal — from the mind to the gut to the hormones in between.

Whether you’re feeling anxious, burnt out, or just craving a day devoted to you, this is the perfect opportunity to learn from experienced naturopathic doctors, connect with like-minded women, and leave feeling refreshed and inspired.

🎟️ Tickets include:
Lunch, snacks, swag bag, access to all vendors and breakout sessions, and a whole lot of nervous-system nourishment.

💫 Why it matters:
Nourish is also a fundraiser supporting naturopathic licensure in Indiana, helping expand access to natural, root-cause-focused healthcare in our state. I’m originally from Indiana, so this mission is especially meaningful to me — even though I now live and practice in Ohio, I’d love to see more access to naturopathic medicine for women and families back home. 🤍

🕊️ Details:
📍 Fishers, IN
📅 November 1st
🎟️ General admission: $135

In my practice, the moments that make me smile most aren’t always the ‘big’ milestones—they’re the small wins that signal real progress.

🎉 A postpartum mom who finally had the energy to walk her baby around the block without crashing afterward.

🎉 A PCOS patient noticing her skin stayed clearer this week than last. A cycle shifting from 50+ days down to 38—still imperfect, but moving toward balance.

🎉 Hair shedding slowing down in the shower after months of clumps.

🎉 A woman realizing she made it through bedtime routines without snapping at her kids.

These are the shifts that add up. They remind us healing doesn’t happen overnight—it unfolds in small, steady steps. And those steps are worth celebrating.

What’s one ‘small win’ you’ve noticed in your own health lately?

In my office, I keep a simple rhythm: Pause. Breathe. Begin again.

Every appointment deserves a fresh start. That’s why I take a moment to reset between patients. One deep breath, one intentional pause, one reminder to be fully present.

Your body loves rhythm, too. Small rituals—mindful meals, a consistent sleep schedule, intentional pauses, breathwork—help steady your hormones more than you realize.

What’s one rhythm that keeps you grounded?

So much gratitude as I look back on these last few weeks. 💕 After reopening my books, I’ve been meeting the most incredible women and scheduling new patients well into the new year. Your trust in me is something I never take lightly.

If you’ve been waiting for your chance to work together, I’ll be opening up my New Patient Survey again soon. This is the first step to joining my practice, and it allows me to get to know your health story before we officially schedule. Stay tuned—it won’t be long.

Ever notice how your body seems to flip a switch before your period—suddenly you’re bloated, moody, can’t sleep, maybe your skin flares, maybe the migraines creep in?

There’s a reason for that. Estrogen and histamine have this little back-and-forth dance where one fuels the other. Estrogen nudges your cells to release more histamine, and histamine tells your ovaries to pump out more estrogen. And around and around it goes.

For some women, especially in the second half of the cycle, that loop can make everything feel louder—tender breasts, anxiety, irritability, hives, even cramps that stop you in your tracks.

It’s not random. It’s not “just PMS.” It’s your body trying to tell you something.

When we support the way estrogen is cleared, calm down excess histamine, and give your gut and nutrients some love, the loop doesn’t have to run the show. Your cycle can actually feel steadier, softer, and less like a monthly ambush.

If your cycle brings more than the occasional cramp—think rage that comes out of nowhere, crushing fatigue, sleepless nights, skin flares, or anxiety that makes you feel like a stranger in your own body—there’s a reason.

And no, it’s not “just PMS.”

Histamine (yes, the same one behind seasonal allergies) is deeply connected to your hormones and your gut. When this trio is out of balance, symptoms can escalate from uncomfortable to downright debilitating.

Here’s the part most providers miss:

🌀 Estrogen ramps up histamine, histamine ramps up estrogen.
🌀 A sluggish gut can’t clear histamine effectively.
🌀 Low progesterone removes one of your body’s natural “antihistamines.”

That’s a perfect storm for the symptoms that too many women have been told to just live with.

Your body isn’t broken. It’s signaling. And when we address the gut–hormone–histamine connection, the monthly misery starts to make sense and finally begins to shift.

Skincare doesn’t just come in a bottle—it comes from your plate, too.

Research shows that adding colorful fruits and veggies can actually change your skin tone in ways people see as healthier and more radiant. Just 6 weeks of extra produce boosted radiance thanks to carotenoids—plant pigments that double as antioxidants and deposit in your skin.

Some of the best glow-givers?

🥕 Carrots & sweet potatoes (beta-carotene)
🥭 Mangoes & apricots (carotenoids + vitamin C)
🍅 Tomatoes (lycopene)
🥦 Broccoli & watercress (antioxidants + DNA repair)
🍇 Grapes & berries (polyphenols)
🥑 Avocado (healthy fats for elasticity)

It doesn’t have to be complicated, just a little extra color each day. A handful of berries at breakfast, roasted carrots with dinner, or a scoop of guac with your salad.

Your skin reflects nourishment, not restriction. And the rainbow on your plate might be the simplest glow-up routine of all.
