Mission Monday 💙

At Saint Joe’s, our mission starts from within.

We’re proud to recognize our Employee Giving Program, made up of 50+ incredible team members who have chosen to give back in 2026 by donating a portion of each paycheck directly to support the people we serve.

Because generosity deserves celebration, we hold a monthly drawing for participating employees to win a gift card and each individual receives a new Saint Joe’s backpack.

Mission Monday: Resident Spotlight — Meet Tommy

Tommy has been part of the Saint Joe’s family for 19 years. From the moment you meet him, you’re greeted with healing smiles, joyful laughter, and a loving presence that fills the room. Tommy connects with others in a way that’s truly special — he smiles and laughs with his whole body, and somehow always makes you feel seen and valued.

Tommy loves face-to-face interaction and truly enjoys listening. He has an incredible way of letting people know they matter, often through a warm glance, a bright smile, or a burst of laughter that’s impossible not to return.

Thanks to the attentive, compassionate care he receives each day, Tommy has recently been working on turning his head from side to side so he can better see and hear the people around him — a meaningful step that helps him stay connected to the world he loves.

His family shares, “There is no other place like Saint Joe’s. Tommy not only receives outstanding nursing care on a daily basis, but also lots of TLC from all the staff. They are in our corner and help to support us as a family.”

We’re grateful for the joy Tommy brings to our community and honored to walk alongside him and his family. 💙

Even on the coldest winter days, there’s always room for fun at Saint Joe’s. Last week at our Adult Day Program, we played balloon volleyball — lots of laughs, movement, and smiles all around! Just a little reminder that we’re always finding creative ways for our residents and participants to stay active, engaged, and connected. 💙

💙 Mission Monday: Employee Spotlight — Drew Curtis.

For nearly 13 years, Drew Curtis has seen firsthand the impact Saint Joe’s has on the people we serve across all our programs — and he’s excited to continue being part of our growth for years to come.

As our Director of Facilities and Infrastructure, Drew brings experience from the entertainment field, where precision, flexibility, timing, and behind-the-scenes excellence were essential. That background now supports the everyday environments that help our residents and participants thrive.

Drew is quick to shine the spotlight on the teams he’s privileged to oversee:
✨ our managed IT partners who keep systems running smoothly,
✨ our Environmental Services team who ensure clean and safe homes, and
✨ our Maintenance team who respond quickly and keep essential equipment operating efficiently.

“I truly love being part of Saint Joe’s ongoing growth and expansion,” Drew shares. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to impact the lives of those we serve while working alongside some of the most amazing support staff.”

💙 Feature Friday: Saint Joe’s Summer Camp 2026 ☀️

A place where belonging changes everything. Enroll today!

Saint Joe’s Summer Camp offers a safe, engaging, and joyful experience for students in grades 6–12 with developmental and complex disabilities. Our camp is designed to create connection, build confidence, and celebrate each individual — all while having fun.

Families choose Saint Joe’s because of our experienced, compassionate staff, small group sizes, and available nursing support. Each two-week session provides structured activities such as educational field trips, therapeutic swimming, guided adaptive hikes, and meaningful experiences in a supportive environment where campers can truly thrive.

📍 Location: Princeton High School
🕘 Hours: 9:00 AM–2:30 PM
🗓 Three two-week sessions:
June 22 – July 3
July 6 – July 17
July 20 – July 31

Wisdom Wednesday 💡 | Take a Tour of Our Respite Care Center

What is respite care—and why does it matter?

Today, we’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the Harold C. Schott Respite Care Center at Saint Joe’s. This space was thoughtfully designed to provide individuals with developmental disabilities a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay, while giving their families and caregivers the opportunity to take time to rest, travel, or simply recharge.

Our Respite Center offers more than just short-term care. It offers peace of mind, meaningful connection, and engaging experiences supported by our compassionate, trained team.

We invite you to watch this short video tour and see how this special space supports both the individuals we serve and the families who love them. 💙
