🏅🐷PigAbilities Reminders🐷🏅

We’re about one week away from the PigAbilities Race! If you're registered for Team Metzcor, here are a few quick reminders:

1.) All race participants are required to have a chaperone present on race day.

2.) Packet Pick-Up
• Registered by April 20th? You can pick up your packet at Metzcor the week of April 27th or on the morning of the race.
• Registered after April 20th? You’ll pick up your packet downtown on race day.

If you pick up your packet early, be sure to wear your Team Metzcor shirt on race day! This will help us stay together and find each other on race day.

3.) Race Day Transportation
•Buses leave Metzcor at 11:00 am to take us to the race.
•Return buses will leave the race at 2:30 pm to bring us back to Metzcor.

Please arrive at Metzcor around 10:00 am and no later than 10:30 am. This allows time to pick up your Team Metzcor shirt and race number, grab a coffee from CorCafe, and board the buses. Metro buses run on a strict schedule and will not wait for late arrivals!

* Transportation is only guaranteed for those who selected the West Side Hub option during registration. *

CorCafe will be open at 10:00 am for drink purchases the morning of the race. If you did not sign up for transportation but would still like to meet at Metzcor before the race, you are more than welcome!

We can’t wait- see you there! 🌺🌴🕺

🪵 MakeCor Outing 🪵

Our MakeCor woodworking class had the opportunity to visit the MakerSpace at the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library. During our visit, we used the laser cutting machine to support the project we’re currently working on in class. Our group also explored the MakerSpace and learned about the variety of tools available.

We’re excited to encourage participants to take advantage of the amazing resources our local libraries offer. 📚💗

🌎 Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Today we’re celebrating the incredible work happening right here at our program! Space 6 plays a vital role in keeping our building green by leading our recycling efforts.

Each space in our building has it’s own bin, and twice a week, Space 6 goes above and beyond- collecting materials, breaking down boxes, tidying up bins, and making sure everything gets to our main recycling bin.

Their process has been fine-tuned over the years, and their dedication truly shows. Thank you, Space 6, for making a real difference at Metzcor! 💚🌎

We Love Scott E!!!!

Scott E. Tillett is a true legend—especially within the Cincinnati La Salle High School community. He has poured his life into coaching, mentoring, and leading generations of Lancers, leaving a mark that goes far beyond the walls of the school.

It’s hard to find someone who has given more to the brotherhood of La Salle than Scott E. . He has impacted thousands of Lancer’s young and old over the years!

Scott E., thank you for everything you’ve given. You will forever be remembered as one of the greatest Lancers to ever walk those halls. We love you—and we’re grateful.

Enjoy your retirement. You’ve more than earned it.

🐐💗 Goat Therapy 💗🐐

Goat therapy was a big hit! Everyone had the chance to hold, pet, or admire the baby goats.

It’s safe to say they brought lots of smiles and laughter to the day! We’re happy that we get to offer experiences like this and look forward to more of these moments in the future. 🥰
