Oh nothing, just celebrating and documenting the day I got HEARING AIDS and could actually hear birds chirping and alllll the other sounds I’ve been missing!!!!!! (and my brain is currently like WHAT is happening 😅)

Quick backstory: I had a lot of ear infections as a kid and had ear tubes, which led to scar tissue and moderate–severe hearing loss. I wore hearing aids in 5th grade but stopped because kids were mean.

Fast forward to now… I can’t ignore it anymore. My hearing loss has been impacting more of my life than I realized, and learning how much untreated hearing loss can impact brain health and daily life was honestly the final push that made me take action.

Right now it’s definitely an adjustment period. My brain is literally relearning how to hear, and everything is VERY overstimulating at the moment… but I’m also so excited and so grateful to finally be able to hear again!!!!!! 💕
