A touching story for your Tuesday:
When "Ted Lasso" star Jason Sudekis found out his friend Billy, a below the knee amputee, needed $30,000 for a new prosthetic leg, he held a Kansas-City style barbeque which raised the money needed.
This fundraiser for a friend has now turned into an annual jam session called Thundergong! To date, with the help of some of Sudekis' famous friends, Thundergong! has helped pay for prosthetic limbs for 2,000 amputees all over the country through a nonprofit called Steps Of Faith Foundation, aiding amputees who lack health insurance, or have no prosthesis coverage with their health insurance.
Billy is the CEO of Steps of Faith. This year alone, Thundergong! raised more than $1 million for Steps of Faith.
