Life doesn’t stop with limb loss, and neither do our patients.

Our AK patient, JW, is shown here enjoying time in the water with his son and daughter while wearing an Ottobock C-Leg 4. Moments like this are what it’s all about. At R.J. We were proud to have Ben Welter, CP/L, represent R.J. Rosenberg Orthopedic Lab last week during an educational lecture on upper limb prosthetics for occupational therapy students at the University of Cincinnati.

Ben shared a wide variety of prosthetic samples, including microprocessor, myoelectric, body-powered, and passive devices, covering levels from partial hand to shoulder disarticulation. A special thank you to our patient David B., who helped bring the presentation to life by demonstrating his above-elbow prosthesis.

We value every opportunity to connect with future therapists and highlight the collaborative work of the rehab team. Together with occupational therapists, we help patients gain function, confidence, and independence with their prostheses.

This is how we do Limb Loss Awareness! Devon Spivey, a bilateral BK amputee, and Ryan Spill, CP, recently spoke with 7th grade science students about prosthetics. Devon is an incredible athlete, sled hockey player, survivor, and family man who is passionate about sharing his story.

Now is the time to register to join Team Rosenberg at the Pigabilities Run, Walk & Roll Event on May 2!

Sign up by SUNDAY, APRIL 12 to pick up your packet early at the SOAR Expo on April 25 or at the RJR office prior to race day.

Registrations AFTER April 12 are welcome — those packets will be available for pickup on race day at the Flying Pig Expo.

Patients - call our office at 513-221-7200 to sign up today and we will cover your registration fee.

Family and friends - you can also sign up under Team Rosenberg!
