This week, we proudly celebrated National Activity Professionals Week and the incredible Life Enrichment team who truly are the heartbeat of our community.

Their passion, creativity, and dedication keep our days vibrant, our residents engaged, and our community buzzing with energy and fun.

It’s National Have Fun at Work Day! Our game of “Roll a Snowman” with our team was the perfect fit for this wintery weather, full of laughs, a little friendly competition, and lots of smiles. Before the winter storm hit, we were honored to take our resident, Ron, to the grand opening, dedication, and ribbon cutting of the new Skilled Trades Education Center at Camp Friedlander, built in support of the Boy Scouts.

Ron’s legacy was felt throughout the day and a plaque honoring him will be installed in the plumbing sector of the new building, an exciting and well-deserved tribute to his years of service and dedication.

Even more meaningful was Ron having the opportunity to reconnect with fellow leaders he once volunteered alongside and with Boy Scouts he mentored years ago, many of whom are now mentoring the next generation themselves. Several sought him out simply to say thank you for the guidance and encouragement he gave them when they were younger.

Recognizing the lasting impact Ron has had on so many lives and how his influence continues to inspire learning, leadership, and growth was touching.
This is proof that strong mentorship leaves a legacy long after the lesson ends.

Winter storm? We're ready!

Your local grocery store may be out but we’ve stocked up on all the essentials-yes, bread, milk, and toilet paper are fully accounted for 😂! Our team is also prepping cozy beds so staff can stay overnight if needed, making sure our residents continue to receive the very best care no matter what the weather brings.
Snow, sleet, or ice-we're prepared, we're cozy, and we're in this together! Stay warm and safe! ❄️

One of our fun focuses for January is birds, and today we took inspiration from famous Cincinnati artist Charley Harper and his wonderful bird artwork.

Today our Mixed Media Art Class became a beautiful lesson in teamwork and creativity. Each resident designed their own unique piece, adding personal touches, colors, and imagination. When we brought all the pieces together, they formed one incredible collaborative masterpiece. Art is always special, but creating it together makes it even more meaningful. 🎨
