Dr. Stacey Windham ND Using integrated, patient focused medicine to address the physical, emotional, social & environmenta Hello and welcome!

I am a licensed naturopathic doctor in the state of Oregon and am currently practicing in Cincinnati, Ohio. I grew up in Cincinnati then lived in Columbus, Ohio where I earned my undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University. After working as a CT technologist for a time at Ohio State Medical Center and Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, I moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. My husband and I loved the pacific northwest and all its beauty. We were married and had our first child during our time in Oregon, however family is important to us both. We decided to move back to Ohio so our daughter would be closer to cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents! Through my own personal health struggles I found naturopathic medicine. As my knowledge and understanding of naturopathic medicine has grown it has helped my overall wellness and quality of life. During my four years at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) I focused on interweaving naturopathic medicine, medical nutrition and integrative medical research with my conventional background. This approach has provided me with the ability to aid people of varying medical complexity in their journey towards health. I believe that every individual is unique and that naturopathic medicine provides the avenue for me to meet each individual where they are. I'm excited by the opportunity to help others in their progression through life in order to bring them to the best version of themselves. When not working as a doctor, you will find me enjoying every moment of being a mother and wife. I love to be out in nature (especially hiking and camping), cooking and having sing-a-long dance parties with my daughter and son.

🩺 Colorectal Cancer Screening Guidelines — 2024 Update

If you’re at average risk, screenings for colorectal cancer should begin at age 45.

Why start early? Most polyps take 10–15 years to develop into cancer — meaning early screening can detect and remove them before they pose a threat.

📋 Current Screening Recommendations

Ages 45–75: Colonoscopy every 10 years (for average risk)

Ages 76–85: Selective testing based on individual health and history

Over 85: Screening not routinely recommended

👥 Who’s Considered “Average Risk”?

You have no history of:

Colorectal cancer or polyps

Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis

Familial adenomatous polyposis or Lynch syndrome

Cancer treatment involving the abdomen or pelvis
And no family history of colorectal cancer.

⚠️ Who’s at Increased Risk?

You or a close relative have:

Polyps or colorectal cancer

Ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease

Lynch syndrome or familial adenomatous polyposis

Previous abdominal or pelvic radiation treatment

🔬 Screening Options

Colonoscopy remains the gold standard for detection and prevention.

Stool-based tests (like Cologuard) are available but have higher rates of false positives and negatives.

One of the most common questions we get is: “Do you take insurance?”

The short answer is no — and here’s why.

The insurance model is built on risk management, not health creation. It’s designed to cover emergencies, surgeries, and disease care — not the deep, transformative work of restoring health.

At Whole Systems Healthcare Cincinnati, we spend 60–90 minutes with our patients, getting to know your story, your lifestyle, your labs, your emotions, and your body’s patterns.

True holistic medicine simply doesn’t fit into a 15-minute visit or a billing code.

A doctor focused on health doesn’t belong in a system designed for sickness.

Your investment in naturopathic care isn’t a bill — it’s a commitment to long-term vitality, resilience, and freedom from the cycle of symptom suppression.

🌿 Experience healthcare that puts you, not your insurance company, at the center.
