Your session doesn’t end when you leave the table.
How you care for your body after a massage can make all the difference in how you feel in the days that follow.
Here are a few simple ways to support your body post-massage:
• Hydrate well. Your muscles just received increased blood flow and circulation — give them the hydration they need to recover.
• Rest when you can. Let your body absorb the benefits. Skip the high-intensity workouts and opt for stillness or gentle movement.
• Take note of how you feel. This is the perfect time to reconnect with your body and notice what’s shifted.
• Stretch gently. Keep the release going with light mobility work or mindful breath-led stretches.
• Apply ice (for inflammation). A warm bath or heat pack can extend the relief, especially if deep tissue work was involved.
Massage is part of your wellness routine; and so is everything that comes after.
Care for your body like it’s listening. Because it is.
