Meet Winky, one of our sweetest patients and a perfect example of how resilient and adaptable cats truly are. Cats who lose an eye (whether from injury, infection, or a congenital issue) often amaze us with how quickly they bounce back and adjust. Their depth perception improves, their confidence returns, and before long, they’re back to doing all the things they love: exploring, playing, cuddling, and of course....seeking treats. 💙

Here’s a sweet behind-the-scenes look at how our team makes even the not-so-favorite parts of vet care (like nail trims) a whole lot easier for our furry friends. This golden boy was in for a nail trim, and like many pups, he can get a little nervous about having his paws handled. So Dr. K brought out one of her favorite tools: lickable distraction treats on a stick! Using these sticks helps keep patients relaxed and focused on something positive. While Dr. K offered the yummy distraction, our amazing tech team worked together to gently hold him, keep him comfortable, and trim his nails safely and quickly. He stayed calm, cozy, and completely absorbed in his treat while barely noticing his spa day pedi was happening at all.
