We’re proud to share that Dr. Patrick Muck, TriHealth’s Chief of Vascular Surgery, received a standing ovation following his presidential address at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society. Dr. Muck and his partners also presented on the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary embolism.

When TriHealth patient Chris Hopkins found a spot on his leg that wouldn't go away, his dermatologist told him it was either a blood vessel issue or cancer. When his biopsy came back cancer-free, Chris was then diagnosed with AFib.

Nearly 500 clinicians joined an early June livestream of an IJ MICRA™ pacemaker implant at Bethesda North Hospital, the FIRST IN THE AREA to perform this procedure. TriHealth Electrophysiologists Dilesh Patel MD and Gaurang Gandhi MD, assisted by Hemal Shah MD and Muhammad Athar MD, implanted the tiny, leadless pacemaker into the heart through the jugular vein instead of the traditional groin access, reducing the risk of vascular complications and benefitting patients. Also during the same Current CRM conference, Marshall Winner MD presented and Emile Daoud MD participated in a debate with international faculty.
