So much of what we’re really looking for… is a sense of belonging

To feel seen
to feel heard
to feel like we can be as we are

In our relationships, even a moment of being truly listened to
can shift something

There is research showing that awareness and presence
play a role in how we experience connection and emotional wellbeing

And in many ways
that same idea can be turned inward

What happens when we begin to meet ourselves like that

pausing
noticing
allowing what’s here to be seen

Not fixing
not pushing away

Nothing to fix
just something to be with

letting that unfold

A little blank canvas, a little leftover from last season… and a whole lot of possibility. 🌱
This garden, like life right now, isn’t about starting perfectly, it’s about tending what’s here.
With aging parents, there are moments of tenderness, moments of chaos, and yes… moments where humor is the only way through.
Learning to meet it all with a bit more ease, a bit more patience, and a lot more grace.

Spring is a natural time for lightening.

The spring season in Ayurveda is associated with a shift toward freshness, clarity, and supporting digestion as the body moves out of the heaviness of winter.

Nothing complicated, just seasonal and supportive.

A gentle way to align with the rhythm of the season

Each month on the first Sunday, Mary Barr Rhodes leads a discussion on a different theme, followed by sound by me , community, and brunch soHza sister boutique . This month’s theme was resistance.

Watching this simple push and pull with the bands, I was reminded of how resistance shows up in my own life in so many ways. The ways I resist moving forward, moments of self-sabotage, or the hesitation that can come with change and growth.

Even in creating and collaborating with my hubby Daniel, resistance shows up. At times we’re pulled in different directions, feeling into different rhythms or ideas. And even within sound and music itself, there is this same dynamic… tension, dissonance, harmony. It all has its own way of revealing something.

Within that, there is also something meaningful… an ebb and flow that invites listening, adjustment, and growth.

Resistance isn’t always something to push away. Sometimes it’s something to notice, to understand, and even to learn from.
