Attraction does not equal entitlement

On this episode of Psych Waves, we have a VERY important, and serious, topic. Oftentimes in our society today, we discuss abuse prevention in terms of how we can better protect women: more legal penalties, more policing, and more access to self defense instruction or tools. However, today I want to present another angle as to how we end cycles of abuse: How we educate our men. Educating our men while they are still young tackles the problem of male dominated patterns of abuse at the source and from the ground up, as opposed to reacting to it after it's already happened. We as MOTHERS, grandmothers, aunties, neighbors and friends have the power to teach our men how women should be treated as human beings, and how they would wish to be treated themselves.
