Did you know that respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can cause serious respiratory illness, particularly among older adults, individuals with chronic health issues, and those with weaker immune systems? As we get older, our immune systems aren’t as strong, which makes it harder to fend off infections like RSV. In severe cases, RSV can lead to hospitalization and other complications.

Who should consider getting vaccinated against RSV?
• Adults 75 years and older
• Adults aged 50–74 who have chronic conditions such as heart or lung disease, severe obesity, or a suppressed immune system
