Our servers go the extra mile, too. They are always smiling, singing, and mingling with our residents.

Green tea is rich in antioxidants which helps improve brain function, and protects against cardiovascular disease. Daily consumption can lower cholesterol and help regulate blood sugars, and may lower the risk of some cancers.

Coloring eggs brought back so many memories for us in our Magnolia Trails community. We also iced sugar cookies during the baking club. Both activities were sensory activities and engaged our sense of touch, smell, taste, and seeing.

We believe that the journey towards joy and fulfillment doesn’t stop with age. Our signature Tree of Dreams program invites our residents to engage in new adventures, making their lifelong dreams come true.

Our Magnolia Trails community had the honor and pleasure of fulfilling a resent Tree of Dreams. Our recipient spent decades vacationing with her family at St. Simons. She would sit on the beach and read her book to relax. She had a favorite restaurant, too, and enjoyed fresh seafood.

Our team went to work immediately planning her special day. We found a cookbook from her favorite restaurant and travel brochures from St. Simons. We decorated our community with a beach theme including sand, seashells, and sand castles.

Chef Dave and his culinary team served fish nuggets, hush puppies, and cole slaw in cardboard boats. The food was perfectly themed for her favorite restaurant in St. Simons.

Grace Hospice sponsored the entertainment with the Jeannine Groh Trio. The trio played Calypso music and other island themed music. Grace Hospice provided sea shells chocolates, as well. Thank you to Grace Hospice and their team for their support.

We were inspired today by entertainer, Emily, and her family band. Emily has been blind since birth, but that didn't stop her from performing.

Emily is so talented and played the violin, dobro, and our piano in our Magnolia Trails community. She is so enthusiastic in her style.

Families joined in singing along with our community.

Emily visited with each and every person today. Her love for music pours out of her soul. Her time at The Ashton at Anderson was so powerful and positive.

We had an absolutely electric game of chair volleyball today, and our AL residents really brought their A-game! It was wonderful to see such friendly competition, with teams strategizing and cheering for every point.
The best part? The room was filled with laughter and loud shouts of joy!
While we were focused on having fun, our residents were also getting a fantastic upper-body workout, enhancing their hand-eye coordination, and stretching out their flexibility. It was a wonderful way to boost spirits, foster team bonding, and enjoy some healthy, active fun while seated.

Laughter truly is the best medicine, and our team proved that you don’t need to be on your feet to stay in the game and have a great time!
