One of my areas of focus this year was to create space and time for the ALN community to connect. That is why I am so excited to be kicking off monthly, LIVE Q&A/discussion sessions this Thursday! These sessions will be done virtually, so anyone can join, and will be a space to discuss whatever is on our minds, ask questions, and seek support from others who are also on their healing journey. This week, specifically, I would love to ask you some questions about what resources and support I can provide as the A Life Nourished community continues to take shape.

If you've been interested in working with me, but haven't yet dove in, this is a wonderful, affordable way to see what it's all about! All that's needed is a simple signup on Patreon to gain access to the zoom link. As an update to my previous post here on IG, I’ve moved!

The social media hiatus was a time for me to tune in and assess where I was and where I was headed. I wanted to make sure the ALN space I was creating aligned with my values and the intention I had for what the A Life Nourished community could be. After a lot of soul searching, I’ve decided that the best place for me to create the safe, fun, private, authentic, and educational space I desired is Patreon.

I truly believe it gives us a healthier environment, mentally and emotionally, to authentically connect, learn, and heal. I hope you will join us there because I know your presence is integral to the community we have created and the journey we are all on together. Looking forward to continuing to serve you in new, personal, and creative ways!!

Intuitive eating and body liberation isn’t limited to shifting how we see food and bodies. They are gateways to disintegrating the highly volatile distractions of micromanaging food and our bodies so we can get in touch with who we really are and what makes us tick.

None of it is easy. All of it can feel both tedious and rewarding at the same time. The reward is what keeps us going, the tediousness reminds us that the layers and walls have been built up over many years, and the work to undo them will take time too.

Who’s opinion of us are we allowing in? Do they deserve to take up space in our heads? Have they earned that spot, or are we forgetting that our own voice deserves to be loudest of all? ❤️

It’s helpful to explore what lens you are viewing your body from. Is it a lens based on what other people think or say? Is it a lens of care and respect?
Body liberation isn’t about loving our bodies, it’s about respecting our bodies no matter how we feel about them.
Because of our cultures systems of hierarchy within bodies, it isn’t always attainable to love our bodies.
We’re taught to focus on what we look like, but what happens when we shift to who we are?
Our bodies don’t always and don’t always live up to the cultural standard that is set, nor will they always perform the way we want them to.
Body liberation steps away from all of that and allows us all to find respect and freedom in how our bodies DO show up for us on a daily basis.

Hey there!!! 👋🏼 It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself. My name is Kaitlin Bolt-Lovett. I’m a Food and Body-Image Coach and owner of A Life Nourished!
I have built ALN to support incredible people in their journey towards food freedom and body liberation with the use of Intuitive Eating, inclusive care, and a weight neutral approach.
So much has changed in the world this last year, so I wanted to update you on some things that have changed for ALN and for me.
- I have shifted my practice to being completely online. This means more opportunities to come together as a community in group, 1-on-1, and online courses.
- Because of the above change, my partner and I have shifted gears a bit! We are Cincinnati based, but are spending some time hopping around the West! We are incredibly grateful and in awe of this experience.
- When not supporting my people, I love reading, putting in my own work to grow, finding all available dogs to pet, hanging out with my West US friends, and most of all, spending most of our weekends hiking and rooftop camping!!
- We love getting to live like locals, exploring each new city’s restaurant, coffee, bakery, beer, and outdoor offerings.
- Current status: Portland Oregon to spend time with friends!!
- So far: Cincy > Las Vegas > Salt Lake City > Idaho Falls > Missoula, MT.
- This is just a dream and a privilege we don’t take it lightly. What I have realized, is the more I can take space to connect to myself and create a full life, the better I can show up for those around me. Spending time outside is one the best ways I can reground and be in awe of something so much bigger than me.
I do appreciate you being here. Diet Culture is life zapping especially since it has it’s roots in racism and patriarchy. This work isn’t easy, and it will never be done, but there is something so incredible at the micro moments of growth that add to something so much bigger.

How many of us place so much worth on a body that is always changing?
We aren’t taught how to navigate a body that ages, bleeds, grays, rounds and sags. Yet, if we are lucky enough to experience living to an old age, these things are inevitable.
The world will try to tell us what we are worth, it is our RIGHT to re-write that narrative whenever we please.
If you are having a hard time coming to terms with your own body, know you are not alone.
Fat phobia is learned, not innate. That means we can continually work to break down the system that makes us feel like we are not enough.

You know when you just have one of those moments where you see someone write something so perfectly, that you have to pause and let it soak in...and then do that at least 10 more times?!

This was one of those quotes for me from . Working to step out of the pain, fear, hurt, rejection, whatever it is, and help to remind ourselves that it is often not personal at all.

I’m going to be honest and say that I absolutely can call myself out on this one too, often my fear and pain gets projected onto other people, and it has nothing to do with them and has everything to do with my own journey.

We’re all learning.

As a Registered Dietitian, I believe in taking a weight-inclusive, anti-diet approach to health and counseling. I believe in the power of tuning TOWARDS the body for answers FIRST and the power of community support through that process. I use Intuitive Eating to infuse my work as it has been monumental in my own healing process, as has the true concept of yoga.

This is about changing your relationship to food and body, which takes commitment and time to re-establish your mental patterns, as well as learned behaviors.
