What would it take to build systems that truly support Black women?

This question was at the center of the Black Maternal Health Summit at the Ohio Statehouse, where our team joined advocates from across the state to ensure that Black maternal health is prioritized.

Shout out to our partners at TriHealth and bi3 for taking the stage as speakers and sharing the steps they’re taking to change systems in support of Black mothers.

And a special thank you to Senator Catherine Ingram, Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson and their teams for hosting this event and championing equitable maternal health at the Statehouse every day.

Marching for babies and making every step count. 💜

This weekend, we were proud to join March for Babies and walk alongside our community in support of healthier outcomes for moms and babies.

Our team had a blast connecting with families at the walk, hosting a play space for kids of all ages, and seeing so many familiar faces from past years.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to show up for moms and babies year after year.

Thank you to March of Dimes and Cincinnati Children's for having us!

Black women are three times more likely to experience infant loss, regardless of education or income.

This , our team spoke with Spectrum News 1 Ohio about how we’re supporting Black mothers through Queens Village Cincinnati — by building community, reducing isolation and helping women connect to resources.

Mia Crockett is grateful for her journey and is hopeful to help more women of color along their path to success.

It’s World Doula Week, and we’re celebrating the incredible community of doulas right here in Cincinnati!

Doulas are trained professionals who walk alongside moms throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum — offering physical and emotional support while making sure mom’s voice is heard.

Research shows that having a doula can lead to fewer C-sections, increased breastfeeding success and a better overall birthing experience.

Cincinnati is lucky to have many amazing doulas in our community, including:

Adrienne’s Love LLC
Me&She Doula Services
NyNi Inc
Blaq Birth Circle
Cherished Hearts Family Support Services

Know a doula we missed? Tag them in the comments.

Let’s make sure every mom knows where to find the support they deserve. 💜
