Neck pain in athletes isn’t just about the neck.
It’s often a combination of joint mobility, muscle tension, and how your body handles load during training.
In this video, I’m assessing:
• How the joints in the neck are moving
• Which muscles are overworking or restricted
• Where motion is being lost
Then using Active Release Technique (ART) to restore normal tissue movement and reduce tension.
For athletes, this matters because:
• Limited neck mobility can affect lifting mechanics and safety while running/biking
• Muscle restrictions can lead to headaches or upper trap tightness
• Compensation patterns can impact performance and recovery
The goal isn’t just to “loosen things up” — it’s to help your body move better under load so you can train without pain.
If you’re dealing with neck tightness, headaches, or discomfort during training, it may be more than just something to stretch.
