Good Morning Crossroad Family,

Never forget that Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
God has peace in store for us in every situation if we will choose to keep our minds stayed on Him. The world says that peace can only come when you’ve worked your fingers to the bone and have finally attained all you want and desire. According to the world you can only have peace when you have enough money, the right friends, the right job, or the right mate. But God’s way is to draw you to Himself and offer you peace amid your circumstance and the situations to encounter. God doesn’t want you to wait until everything gets worked out before you can have rest- He’s offering you rest right now. We must forever remember to trust God, even when it’s not easy to track God! Psalm 23 says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me besides still waters. He restores my soul …. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

God longs to prepare a table for you amid whatever trouble surrounds you. Often remind yourself of that fact and allow His Peace to flood your heart and your mind. Remember His peace surpasses all understanding!

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

We now have 36 more days to go! 36 days until we commemorate what the true meaning of Easter is all about. Sunday, April 05, 2026, is the day we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the crowning day which defines the Christian experience. This year, I again asked myself what I should give up this year for Lent.

If something has a grip on you, it’s more than likely become unhealthy and may be a weight in your life. Hebrews 12:1 says, “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

The Lenten season is an opportunity to grow closer to God; to remember Jesus’ life and death, and focus more on Him and less on ourselves and our busy schedules. Fasting and abstaining from certain activities and items in our lives can help us focus on the life and sacrifice of Jesus. It draws us closer to Him and He toward us. If any of these things have a vice grip on you, if it’s difficult for you to reframe from participating in any of these activities, clearly it has become a weight for you. And we told to “lay aside every weight.” Please understand that our motives are of most importance. ‘Anything you can walk away from; you can have victory over.’ Check your motives in observing lent. Jesus told his disciples “When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that others may see their fasting. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.” Matthew 6:16.

Let these next 36 days be the pivotal point for a new beginning on your journey with Christ. May His strength be your strength, and His peace be your peace!

Make it a great Day!

You might’ve seen it on The Pitt recently — a character loses health insurance, ends up in the ER, and the docs point them toward North Side Christian Health Center, a community health center, so they can keep getting care and support no matter what. That storyline shined a light on a real truth: access to affordable, ongoing care matters.

Just like North Side Christian, Crossroad Health Center is that kind of place — a community health center that keeps its doors open even when insurance changes happen.

Here’s the deal:
You are still our patient if your insurance lapses.
We won’t turn you away.
And our team will sit down with you, walk through your options, and help you get connected back to insurance or affordable care.

Health centers were created for this exact reason — to be reliable, supportive partners in your health journey, no matter what life throws your way.

You matter. Your health matters. And we’re here — just like the real-world heroes represented on screen — to stand with you through it all.

Season 2 of The Pitt continues its unflinching examination of America’s health care system, placing equal narrative weight on the lives of patients and the moral strain carried by physicians. Rather than simplifying complex issues, the series humanizes the quiet crises that unfold every day in eme...

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

Genesis 41:16 says, “And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, it is not me: God shall give Pharoah an answer of peace.”

Make no mistake about it; life is not an upward steady trajectory toward success. Life is filled with highs and lows, peaks and valleys. One day, you’re up, the next day you’re down. You can be on top of life today, but then on the bottom tomorrow. We must learn to accept each season of our lives as opportunities. Opportunities for God to prove who He really is in each of our lives. Joseph is a prime example of this. He interprets Pharoah’s dreams about impending famine, and he goes from the pit to the palace, being made second in command in Egypt.

His story teaches us that our current struggles and situations are not the end but rather are a part of a larger and divine narrative. It shows that God can use our trials and tribulations to prepare and position us for greater responsibilities and favor. Joseph story lets us know today that God can transform our greatest struggles into our greatest strengths. If you just hang in there and remain faithful, knowing that in God’s timing, our current challenges can lead to significant breakthroughs and blessings. There’s a song that says, “Never give up on God, ‘cause He won’t give up on you!” Stay ‘Trusting!’

Grace & Peace,

Today is Ash Wednesday — the beginning of Lent.

Lent is a 40-day journey of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It’s a season that invites us to slow down, examine our hearts, and remember what truly matters.

The ashes placed on our foreheads today are a humble reminder: we are human, we are fragile, and we are deeply in need of grace. Yet they are also a sign of hope — that through Christ, renewal is always possible.

This season isn’t just about giving something up. It’s about making room.
Room for prayer.
Room for compassion.
Room for serving others more intentionally.

As we walk through Lent together, may we grow in humility, deepen our faith, and extend kindness a little more freely — especially to those who are hurting.

At Crossroad Health Center, we see daily how powerful compassion can be. This Lent, let’s be people who reflect Christ’s love not only in words, but in action.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

Our scripture this week comes from Genesis 32:28. It says, "And He said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed."

Are you aware that your struggles are a part of your story? Many times, in life we are so focused on the blessings and benefits of life that we tend to overlook the struggles that often find us. Many times, like Jacob, you must be willing to struggle through your doubts, fears, and pride but cling to God for the real joy of life. Jacob was willing and ready to wrestle with God because he knew that the true blessing was on the other side of the struggle. Jacob held on to God and wouldn’t let Him go, and because he did, he was blessed.

Looking at Jacob's life, I discover that he spent most of his life lying to get what he wanted. He used tricks to gain blessings. In all actuality, Jacob was a conman, a trickster, a real hustler. But when it was just him and God- things began to change. Jacob wrestled all night. After the wrestling match the blessing came. He got a new name. Remember, your breakthrough will always be on the other side of your struggle, especially when God is involved in the match. You’ll always have victory with God!

Make it a great day!

Spiritual Reflections 02.09.26

Good Morning Crossroad Family,

Exodus 33:14 says, “And he said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” In this verse, God responds to Moses’ plea with a wonderful promise- His presence will go with him, and He will provide rest. Now this is not referring to physical rest, but a deep spiritual reassurance. You see, God’s presence is the greatest gift we can carry into any situation.

We often look for solutions, directions, and or comfort, but here in this verse God offers something far better: He offers Himself. Understand that God’s presence will always bring us peace when the journey feels long and difficult. The same God that walked with and promised Moses walks with each of us today. God’s presence sustains us, comforts us, and leads us into ever-lasting rest. Thank Him often for the peace that comes not from changed circumstances, but from being close to Him. Psalm 16:11b says, ‘"in His presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

When you feel overwhelmed and even frustrated, remind yourself that He is forever with us to guide us in every decision, every challenge and every situation. We have the promise of His word!

Grace & Peace,

Chap. Darryl Anderson

Spiritual Reflections 02.02.26

Good morning, Crossroad Family,

Romans 8:31 reads, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” What a comforting verse of scripture that is! Life for all of us can seem most chaotic at times. It can leave one doubtful with many unanswered questions. Things can hit us with such overwhelming force and speed; that it leaves us feeling like Job in the scriptures. In Job 3:3, Job curses the day he was born. He says, “May the day perish on which I was born, And the night in which it was said, ‘A male child is conceived.’ How many times in life do we allow foolish talk to pe*****te our thinking and fear to escape our lips? Job felt like everything was against him! He encountered attack after attack. No matter how hard he tried and persevered, Job felt like everything was against him. He loses everything that should matter to him. His health, his family, and even his riches. Life for us is no different than what he experienced. We all have times that we suffer from loss. The truth be told, no one is ever prepared for it!

The reality was that Job was still alive and God was still at work. God often works behind the scenes in all our lives. We don’t always see or comprehend what He is doing. The story of Job illustrates that when we can’t always see God’s hand in our circumstances, we can always trust His providence, meaning that He will never walk away from what He has created. We are forever in His hands and under His watchful eye.

Sometimes God will put us on display to show the world and even ourselves that He hasn’t forgotten about us, and that His hand is still upon us. Remember, if you can get through the trial, you can always get to the blessing.

Make it a great day today, and an even greater week!

Grace & Peace,
Chap. Darryl Anderson
