The Grace Hospice team met today join in to take a small walk through what it’s like living with dementia. Our four new amazing liaisons walked us through the interactive experience of Dementia Live. We also took time for fellowship, games and food. Excited to see where this team goes in 2026!

I am a registered nurse. I have been working in hospice and with this company for a little over 5 months now. I had always thought about a career in hospice but had never taken the leap. However I am glad I finally did as this is one job I can finally say I full heartedly enjoy. Being able to be there for a patient /family and provide care/comfort and become part of their family and support system is an absolute blessing in my life.

I enjoy being a hospice aide because I value caring for others when they need it most. Providing comfort, respect, and emotional support to patients and their families during such a difficult time gives my work purpose and meaning.

I’ve been with Grace Hospice for 3 years!

This is my first job working in the community/home visit setting. I have always gravitated towards geriatric care. I enjoy meeting our patients and hearing about their lives and accomplishments. It is a very fulfilling experience to be able to stay with a patient and get them completely comfortable, no matter how long that takes. Sometimes we are only with a patient for hours or days before they pass but some families will reach out and thank us for being there. It amazes me that in their time of grief they contact us because we had such a big impact on their loved one’s care at end of life.

I’ve been with Grace for almost 3 years! I became a hospice aide shortly after I lost my dad, and I didn’t feel like I was making a difference working in facilities. Shoutout to Jamie Jackson for letting me know they had an opening, and I feel like I have found my calling. I love being able to provide comfort and care to my patients at end of life as they have become like family. I thank God everyday for leading me to this field.

I’m and STNA. I’ve been with Grace Hospice for 3 months. When my husband passed in 2024 he had hospice services, the compassion everyone had for not only my husband, but our family was remarkable. After that I felt like everything was pointing me in this direction. Being able to give our patients and their families the compassion and care they deserve is a true blessing.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and attended Butler University where I gained a BA in Sociology & Criminology. I then received my MSW from the University of Cincinnati. I have been a licensed social worker for 3 years now, with a background in community mental health, palliative care, and clinical case management. I have been involved in hospice social work for about 6 months now and have been with Grace for almost 2 months. I have known since I decided to become a social worker that I wanted to work with older adults, and after an internship in palliative care I found my passion for end of life. I have chosen to work in hospice because I am dedicated to supporting patients and their families during the most vulnerable moments of life and feel honored to be a part of our patients' life stories, whether that's in a big way or small shared moments!
