Guilt is a strong emotion that we all struggle with from time to time. When people get stuck in traumatic guilt, just talking about it over and over does not cure it. After listening very carefully to this client’s unique feelings, I helped him with a process unique to his experience.

I usually start by explaining how the mind has been affected by that traumatic event and can get stuck on the guilt feelings. It is amazing to me and my clients to see them release their guilt naturally after only a few sessions of working together.

Together we focus on addressing one issue at a time so the client can find relief that they can feel. That affects their life positively and immediately.

What I love about this method is that it protects the client from getting emotionally triggered during the session by avoiding going into the details.

This client is referring to relaxation techniques, one of the many techniques we can utilize to integrate their new learned perspective at deeper level.
