It’s National Rehab Week. We are so grateful for all of our staff!! We are going to spotlight Camille and Freddy!
I grew up just north of Cincinnati in West Chester, OH, a community that truly shaped who I am today. After graduating from Lakota West High School in 2018, I jumped right into my college journey at the University of Cincinnati, where I had the incredible experience of being a student-athlete on the women’s lacrosse team. Competing in athletics throughout my life — and having amazing people support me along the way — sparked my passion for the healthcare field and inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others regain their quality of life.
In 2024, I proudly earned my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Miami University. Every day, I find so much fulfillment in empowering patients to regain independence they once thought was out of reach. What I love most about speech therapy is the variety — from cognition to swallowing to language — every session is a new opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Watching patients overcome challenges is the most rewarding part of my work, and it reminds me why I chose this career.
One of my favorite parts of my job is sharing it with my dog, Freddy! He’s a lovable mini labradoodle and an honorary member of the Speech Therapy team at Pickaway Manor. The joy he brings to patients is unmatched — they light up when he trots in, and they let me know when they’re disappointed I didn’t “bring the baby.” Honestly, I’m not sure who enjoys his visits more: the patients or Freddy himself!
When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me exploring new coffee shops and restaurants around Columbus. I am also a huge sports fan, always cheering on the Buckeyes, Bearcats, and Bengals! But more than anything, I treasure time spent with my family and friends, finding balance and joy in the little moments.
