FEED-LOT magazine - great minds think alike and we thank you for sharing our post to help remind producers of the often over looked quality salt brings to a program.

Salt helps cattle maintain a normal appetite and body weight. It can also increase feed consumption and weight gain, especially in heifers and stockers. Salt also helps relax and contract muscles, acting as a stress reliever. Cattle have a natural 'urge' for salt which is why loose salt is recommended.
