Your body is an intricate, interconnected web. When one part of this biological support system becomes restricted: like a tightness in your hip: the tension ripples through the entire structure. This often leads to discomfort in places you wouldn’t expect, like your neck or shoulders. At Life-Giving Touch Massage, we act as a detective for your body, tracing these patterns to find the root cause of your pain rather than just treating the symptoms.
Our targeted bodywork restores the natural glide and pliability of your fascia, helping your system become more resilient and unrestricted. By addressing these deep layers, we help reset your muscle memory and invite a sense of effortless movement back into your day.
Knee discomfort often tells a story that starts somewhere else. At Life-Giving Touch Massage, we use a detective approach to uncover why your joints feel restricted. By focusing on the quadriceps and surrounding connective tissue, we address the tension patterns that are actually at the root of your pain.
Our goal is to shift your muscle memory. We work to move your body away from the “ouch” response and toward a more supple, effortless range of motion. Through targeted sports massage and recovery-focused bodywork, we help your nervous system reset, allowing for movement that feels pliable and resilient once again.
What does your 'Centenarian Decathlon' look like? 🏅
Whether it’s picking up a grandchild or staying active on your favorite trail at 80, the work we do today is an investment in that future self.
Regular therapeutic bodywork isn't just about immediate relief; it's about shifting your muscle memory. We move away from the 'ouch' of habitual tension and toward a state of fluid, healthy movement that lasts for decades.
At Life-Giving Touch, we don't just chase symptoms. We look for the source of dysfunction: like tight hips or stiff ankles: to ensure your 'Marginal Decade' is one of independence and vitality.
Your body often stays in "guarded" mode long after the stress has passed, locking tension into your muscle memory. This persistent state of high alert can leave you feeling rigid and restricted. At Life-Giving Touch Massage, we focus on a nervous system downshift to help you transition from defensive patterns to a state that is truly resilient and supple.
Through intentional, results-driven bodywork, we help your tissues let go of old stress. This process shifts your physical state toward one that is pliable and effortless, allowing you to move with ease and recover more deeply. Take a proactive step toward your physical health and teach your body that it is safe to relax.
In a world full of recovery apps and high-tech gadgets, there’s one thing they can’t provide: intentional, human touch. By listening to your body’s unique signals, we help shift your state from chronic discomfort toward a fluid, healthy, and high-performance baseline.

The following provides you with some insight into me as a massage therapist, and as an individual. My intention is not to share every detail, but to bring forth some key points and snapshots of my history. These will give a glimpse into what has brought me here to this point in my life. So for the next 4-5 minutes bare with me as I introduce myself to you and share my brief story.
The first area is probably the hardest to believe..spending 30 years in the warehousing industry. I know, right?? How do you go from all those years of warehousing to massage??; you might ask. Well, back in 1979 is when I received my first warehouse job, and what I really enjoyed about warehousing is that there was a variety of things to do to keep me engaged, as well as, working with my hands and driving anything that had forks on it! But most of all, not being cooped up in an office!
For 8 1/2 years I held this job, and ended up managing the warehouse, and it was my longest employment at one job. For sure the future held a few more driving jobs, lots of forklifting, inside sales and some outside sales. About mid career, I began thinking: “is this really what I want to be doing for the rest of my life”. Fast forward to 2009, I was laid off from my final warehousing gig, and never looked back.
Concerning the next area of “keyhole” events in my life, these are the more personal ones; I do not talk much about martial arts and energy work because sometimes they can be misunderstood. Martial arts has always been an interest since I was a young boy. Becoming a martial artist started back in the late eighties, and then that part of my life ended in the late nineties. My two favorite studies were the Philippine and Indonesian arts because of the style of movement. For 10 years I traveled, trained, co-owned a school, taught seminars and earned multiple black belts, but eventually it became apparent to me that I was becoming burned out and I needed to stop. Even though a number of years have passed since then, the muscle memory still lives on and my love for the arts and energy work will never leave me. All in all, I will just say that I’m a master of nothing, and a student of everything.
These areas in my life carry a lot of weight in my massage practice. Well, maybe not so much the warehousing, but certainly my martial arts and energy work history are used a fair amount. Anywhere from my stance work and leveraging from the table, to sensing areas of tightness and how it effects my client. Also, keeping myself grounded has played a vital role, so there are no energetic side affects when I leave my office.
All of this leads to where I left off with my 2009 layoff from warehousing. At that time, I had never even considered being a massage therapist, but with some encouragement from friends who thought I had the gift, I did a complete 180 and went back to school to prepare for a career in massage therapy, with the anticipation of what I hoped would be a fulfilling new adventure. My graduation with honors from Everest Institute in September 2010 launched me onto my new path. It took me a couple years to fully appreciate my decision, but it has truly been a gift, and I’m very happy the winds of change prevailed.
It’s amazing for me to see what has come from my combined history of martial arts, energy work and massage therapy. It has created a triangle of bodywork experience that has truly been a blessing for me and for others. I never thought in a bazillion (is that how that’s spelled?) years that through my experiences I would be able to touch thousands of people in a way that brings healing to their lives, and it is something I hold sacred.
My ultimate hope is that when you see my picture somewhere, you’ll be able to say: “hey, I know that guy, and he really helped me!”
