Shine is an age-appropriate, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ -inclusive s*xual health education program. It uses factual, medically-accurate information to teach students about their bodies and empower teens to make the decisions that are right for them.

Shine emphasizes social-emotional skills like decision-making, risk behavior assessment, boundary setting, and conversational skills. Teens are also encouraged to talk about topics with their trusted adults through take-home activities designed to open conversations between teens and adults.

Shine approaches s*x ed with the understanding that every student comes to us with different experiences and needs. Because of those different needs, Shine is designed so that every student can get the information they need to stay safe and healthy while in a safe environment with people they know they can trust to give them medically accurate information.

It's an evidence-based program that's been scientifically proven to work in postponing s*xual activity and decreasing rates of teen pregnancy and STIs.
