Play therapists don’t pack light. We come prepared to give experiential educations that leap from pages and slides into participants’ nervous systems

Yesterday, we wrote lyrics, we sang, we danced, and, yes, we learned about the therapeutic powers of play!

🖤❤️💚 Honoring Freedom, Healing & Play 💚❤️🖤

Today, on Juneteenth, we pause to honor the journey toward freedom, the strength of Black communities, and the importance of healing—both generational and individual.

As play therapists, we know that play is powerful. It gives voice to the unspoken, space for safety, and room for joy—especially for children navigating hard truths.

Let us continue to create spaces where healing, freedom, and play go hand in hand.

🌍🎉 Happy International Day of Play! 🎉🌍

Today we celebrate the magic that happens when imagination runs wild, laughter fills the room, and healing begins through play! 🎨🧸🛝

Whether it’s a puppet show with purpose, a sandbox full of stories, or a game that opens hearts — play allows for healing moments and so much more. 💛

Here’s to the power of play and the incredible humans who make it their mission to help children feel seen, safe, and strong — one playful moment at a time. 💫

Let us know your favorite game or toy as a child that brought you joy. Drop it in the comments!” 👇👇✨
