It's that time of year again for our favorite holiday event, Senior Santas!

This year, we will be blessing a local memory care community as well as a day program that serves residents with dementia. We get to spoil 44 seniors with gifts, treats, music and Santa himself!

There are a few different ways to participate this year:

🎁 If you would like to adopt a senior by purchasing a gift (we have a wish list from each person) please call or message Laura.

🎄We don't yet know how many helpers we will be able to bring with us, but if you are interested in being an elf and helping us on the days of the parties, that would be wonderful! Both parties are at 10 AM, one on December 9 and one on December 12.

🎅 If a non-specific donation is more your jam, any and all donations are welcome and go directly to the gifts and goodies provided for the seniors we are blessing.

These events take a village, and gratefully we've been able to do this for the past 14 years! Last year, all seniors were adopted within 24 hours of my post!!

Meg and Laura will do all the wrapping, tagging and delivery and we are happy to pick up gifts you've purchased if that's easier. The majority of gifts are ordered online and delivered directly to Laura’s house, and that is really helpful! Most gifts on the list are under $25 and are such simple requests (slippers, scarves, baby dolls, blankets, candy, etc.)

We started hosting Senior Santas back in 2011, at Laura’s mom’s memory care community and the joy on the residents' faces was priceless! They loved the party, loved dancing with Santa and we've continued to do this every year since. We sing carols, give hugs, share gifts and make it a wonderful experience for these deserving folks.

Got our t-shirts in for some of our walk team members for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s (IE) this coming Saturday. It is such a privilege to walk for these beautiful loved ones (peep some of our shirts from last year).

👚 Yanina Wright outdid herself with these shirts. Your excellence in what you do does not go unnoticed. Thank you for partnering with us to raise funds and awareness 💜

It’s 52 Dates RAFFLE ticket time!

Laura has outdone herself (AGAIN), and she has 3 AMAZING raffle prizes, with every dollar in ticket sales going directly to the Alzheimer’s Association!

It’s almost time!
AgingNext’s 2nd annual Live Well Age Well Conference is next Friday, September 5th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Claremont.

Enjoy lunch, explore the resource faire with trusted partners, and hear from new speakers on new topics. Experts will share their wisdom on aging at home gracefully and how to plan for future next steps.

Senior Santas Part 2!

Last week we were able to have our 2nd Senior Santas party at Claremont Place Senior Living, and it was a BLAST! Santa came to visit all the way from the North Pole for our rescheduled Christmas party (😉) to deliver gifts to these beautiful residents.
We brought Jude, the 4 year old ballerina, and she definitely brought some ✨sparkle✨ to the party.

We truly cannot express how grateful we are to every single person who has been a part of making Senior Santas happen.
From helping wrap gifts, writing cards, and donating thoughtful presents, we could not do what we do without our “elves.”

The joy we got to see on every resident’s face this season was the greatest gift.

Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy New Year!

Santa Claus came to town!

Yesterday we got to celebrate with 17 beautiful individuals at AgingNext’s Memory Care Center!
Our “Senior Santas” really came through with the most intentional and thoughtful gifts for these seniors.
A few of these seniors asked Santa, “how did you know that’s what I wanted?!”

To all of our Senior Santa helpers, “toy makers,” private donors, you all know who you are,
THANK YOU.

We could not do any of this without all of your love, generosity, and intentionality.

It’s one of the most important days of the year here at Senior Solutions, The Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Laura’s team, “Let’s Kick Some Alz,” raised $18,000+!!
Every cent goes straight to the Alzheimer’s Association and their work to find a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.

Our team members put their heart and soul into making today successful. Some have lost loved ones to Alzheimer’s and some are caring for loved ones suffering, which made today hard and emotional.
We have so much respect and admiration for our team members who showed up in such big ways for such an incredible cause.

We mainly love today because it gives us so much hope that with the love and support of our incredible community, we can see a cure for Alzheimer’s in our lifetime.

Thanks again to our team members and those who have donated or purchased raffle tickets. Our gratitude is beyond words 💜
