A friend shared with us and we want to share with you:

“God isn’t asking you to hide your grief for Christmas. He isn’t asking you to pretend you’re okay, to force joy, or to smile through the pain just because the season says you should. He’s offering to sit in it with you — right where you are.

The holidays can be hard when you’re carrying loss, heartbreak, or change. When memories feel heavier than decorations, and silence feels louder than celebration. And that doesn’t make you weak or faithless. It makes you human. God was never offended by honest grief — He meets it with compassion.

You don’t have to rush healing to honor the season. You don’t have to minimize your pain to make others comfortable. God is near to the brokenhearted, not just in joyful moments, but in the quiet ones where tears fall and words run out.

This Christmas, it’s okay if joy looks different. It might look like rest instead of celebration. Like remembrance instead of excitement. Like simply getting through the day with grace.

God is not distant from your grief.
He is present in it.
And sometimes, that presence is the greatest gift of all.”

Our Light of Hope Family will walk alongside you through your journey. Together, we help “bring Light to those needing Hope right where they are.”
