Today we’re celebrating the incredible talents of The Jolly Boys of Oakbrook, who filled our home with holiday spirit and joyful music! Their visit brought smiles, laughter, and the kind of cheer only live music and neighborly connection can create!

Moments like these remind us how powerful community connection can be—especially for seniors! Engaging with local neighbors strengthens belonging, boosts mood, and helps build meaningful relationships that brighten the entire season! We love what we do, we love where we live, and we love the neighbors, businesses, and community we are surrounded with!

There’s nothing like creating your own holiday décor as a community for neighbors and visitors to enjoy! This year, our members rolled up their sleeves and built a homemade gingerbread village—with foundations lovingly baked by our talented culinary team!

Now on display in our cozy Fireside Room for the holiday party, the village features 20 charming gingerbread houses crafted with creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of holiday spirit!

Stop by and enjoy a sweet taste of the season in our home!

Birches’ Members were happy to volunteer to help out the as the Lions get ready to host their annual Christmas Tree Sales in the this season! Our residents loved helping the Lions today making the 500+ tree tags, learning the history of the Club as they celebrate 75 years of service, and doing their part to help our local community!

Did you know that assisted living can help preserve relationships or foster deeper connections with your friends or loved ones? Time is precious. According to AARP over 40 million Americans provide unpaid care to loved ones causing more stress and burnout. We love what we do and time is meant to be enjoyed like our CEO had with her Grandma, Lili, while living here at The Birches. The moments experienced and captured remain cherished and priceless to this day.
