Clarion Psychiatric Center

Clarion Psychiatric Center Clarion Psychiatric Center provides child, adolescent, and adult behavioral health treatments.

Clarion is a 112 bed Private Psychiatric facility, providing a peaceful therapeutic environment for patients and families. Clarion is a regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric, behavioral, and/or emotional problems. Recognizing the majority of those we provide care for are trauma survivors, we have sought to provide them the most effective treatment. -Depression
-Suicidal Thoughts or Actions
-Extreme Anger and Aggression
-Emotional disorders that are complicated by a dependency on drugs or alcohol

It's , meet Kaaliyah, MHT at CPC since July of 2025. Kaaliyah states that her job is very rewarding and I did not realize the impact she could make. "Working at CPC has changed my outlook on stigma surrounding mental health and psychiatric hospitals”. In the past year she has learned through her work that mental illness can present in so many different ways.

Kaaliyah is currently in school studying biology and criminal justice with a minor in psychology. She would like to become a forensic science technician. Kaaliyah states, “I want to make a difference” and said one day she would like to do something to help the homeless population.

On a day off you can find Kaaliyah catching up on sleep, spending time with friends, or playing video games (her favorite is Dead by Daylight). You may also catch her eating her favorite sweet treat, strawberry ice cream.

Kaaliyah contributes to a positive work culture by greeting people with a hello and a smile and wants people to know that they can rely on her to get the job done. It is important to Kaaliya to contribute to a teamwork dynamic and let people know that it is ok to have a bad day and that she is always willing to step in and help.

What her peers had to say:
💚 She is very much a team player. She never stops when she is here working.
💚 She has a good work ethic and is kind, intelligent and does whatever is asked of her. Patients respond to her well and are always excited to see her.
💚 She is wonderful, kind, helpful and respectful. She goes out of her way to help staff and patients.

Thank you for bringing your smile and positive energy to CPC! 🙂

, earlier this week we had the pleasure of hosting a training on OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder); how to recognize, assess and provide effective treatment for our staff and community partners. Nick Flowers, Psy.D from the OCD Spectrum provided an informative 2 hour training on what it is and what we can do about it. Thank-you to Lauryn from Newport Healthcare for co-sponsoring this training and providing the continuing education credits. 🤝

, Jan is a valued member of the Clarion Psychiatric Center Business Office, and she absolutely loves being part of our team. Jan has always worked in the business office and has been with CPC for 13 years total (she left for 2 years but is so grateful to be back. She missed her team and working with the patients). She brings tons of energy and passion to work each and every day. Jan’s superpower is helping others. Anyone who has had a chance to work with her knows that she gives all she has when someone needs her.

Jan’s very first job was working in a bakery in Pittsburgh. She says it taught her how to provide excellent customer service, and better yet, it allowed her to make people happy. Some fun facts about Jan:
🍁 loves to read – Psycho thrillers and chooses to read if and when she ever relaxes or recharges.
🍁Is definitely an early bird. She comes to work by 7:00am every day and still has time to tackle tasks in the evening.
🍁Is a planner and does not like last minute changes.
🍁Proud dog mom of Beau, a Border Collie.
🍁has a lot of life experiences but still wants to travel more to see the world.

When asked about Jan, her coworkers said:
• Jan is very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly.
• She has a great sense of humor and is a blast to work with.
• I couldn’t ask for a better soul to work with, and I’m glad she came back to CPC.
• Jan exceeds expectations and is always positive and happy to help. She helps out even without being asked.
• She knows her job and facility expectations enough to care about everyone getting their job done quickly and efficiently.
• She is a rock star with a magic wand. She makes treatment possible for patients who have no insurance! She fights to get them the insurance so we can get them what they need to succeed with treatment!
• She is so kind and caring and really cares about the patients and their well-being.
• Every patient loves Jan; I am always hearing good things about her!! She has always been nice and friendly to anyone that is in her presence!

Thank you, Jan for all you do to support the CPC Mission and care for our patients each day! 💚

Be sure to check out our patriotic themed tree 🎄 honoring our veterans in Clarion Veterans Memorial Park this Holiday season. Patients at our facility made the ornaments with notes of inspiration and pictures of hope and healing. The trees will light up on Monday, November 24th, during the community's light up night. A special thank-you to the Christmas in Veterans Memorial Park committee for sponsoring this event and honoring our veterans, military branches, first responders, and local groups. Susan & Heather from our community outreach department decorated the tree.
