September is Fall Prevention Awareness Month. Did you know foot and ankle health plays a big role in preventing falls? Weakness, pain, or balance issues in your feet can increase your risk of slipping or tripping.

Tips to stay steady this season:
Wear well-fitting, supportive shoes with good traction
Keep toenails trimmed to avoid discomfort when walking
Address foot pain early—don’t “just live with it”
Ask your podiatrist about balance and gait assessments

Your child used to be the first one on the soccer field, but now they're complaining of "tired legs" and want to sit out more often. Before you chalk it up to just growing pains, take a look at their feet.

Persistent flat feet can cause pain and fatigue that discourages a child from the activities they love. Knowing the difference between a normal developmental stage and a problem that needs support is key to keeping them active and happy. A quick checkup will have them back in action in no time: https://tinyurl.com/bdhsh8kn
