Please help us 🫶WELCOME🤩 our newest intern, Ava Brookshire! We are thrilled to have her join the team for her internship. A message from her ➡️ Hello! My name is Ava Brookshire, and I will be Dr. Kleinert's intern for the Spring semester! I am a senior at Piedmont University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Teaching/Education and Sport Psychology. I am currently the cheerleading coach for Habersham's 7th grade basketball cheer team, and I have been doing that for two years! After graduation, I plan to go to graduate school and earn a Master's in Counseling. I am super excited about this experience, and I can't wait to learn even more about psychological evaluation, network within the counseling community, and spread the word about counseling needs within our rural community.

🤔What is MASKING?🤷‍♀️ Per Explaining Brains - "Masking is when a child/adult hides or changes parts of who they are to fit in or avoid negative attention. For neurodivergent kids, this can mean copying the way others talk, act, or express emotions, even if it feels unnatural or exhausting.
